Commemorative Bricks At BDTBL

My brother bought one saying 'Pak, Dave and Bob - Blades forever'.

A really nice touch, especially as they're pig fans! Makes me chuckle ever time I used to see it as I looked at mine (until it was moved)...

Mines on John Street.

Keep losing ours. I think I'll spray them with smart water, or better still glitter spray paint.

Mines on the wall just up from the club shop in the car park, but then I imagine you can guess that's where it is from my Avatar ;-)

I bought both of parents bricks in their memory and found the staff incredibly helpful. The hatch by the ticket office is the best place to ask. In contrast the staff at the Academy were pants and very unhelpful about whether I could scatter my father's ashes on the academy area ( not the pitch obviously). My father worked for Firth Browns and played football, snooker and bowls on that ground for 40 years when it was their sports ground and he was a passionate blade - hence my request. Needless to say I ended up scattering them elsewhere.

You asked the wrong people, Rooks would have sorted it out.

Our twin boys who we tragically lost have a brick in the corner of car park.

When I bought it they told me roughly where it would be - but said they do so many at a time.

I think that is the most touching thing I have ever read on here.

So sorry.

Right I've just been to the club on arrival by train for the Millwall match tomorrow. Yes, I know its off.

Enquiries at Club shop directed me to the Promotions window.

Knocked, helpful lass found my brick on the computer and said its a 2005 one on the Alan Kelly wall. She didn't know where that was.

However man arrived, came round and took me personally to the TWO Alan Kelly panels (apparently the original had to be split when moved from the club shop when shop was returned). He stayed and searched and we found my brick together.

First class service from a man who cares. He didn't know me from Adam and yet he helped.

Double thumbs up for the Blades staff.. Test passed with aplomb, verve and panache. Off to Heeley to celebrate the warmth and love I feel for United right now.

Highly likely to have been one of two top blokes... What did he look like?

And get yerself in the little Sheaf, jealous that I've come straight home instead of such establishments.

About 35, slim, 6 foot tall, white, light brown hair, side parting, shortish hair, smart appearance, Sheffield accent, has his own brick on the Alan Kelly wall. Asked him if Chris Wilder had one and he said he didn't know. Told me a story of how he himself logged where the bricks were when they had to be moved. So not sure if its a club thing or a decent bloke thing..

Went up to Heeley for a pint before intending to go to Hop Hide out and The Byron, but got caught up in 'Spinning Discs', always been too late when I've walked past and spent an hour in there marvelling at his record cleaning machine ( I'm easily amazed with technology at 49, we never had much at school, only what fired up the boilers in May). Great shop and prices not too bad. Dilemma though do you buy Led Zep on original vinyl ( miraculously cleaned) or pay a little bit less (yes ironic I know) and get it new?

So normally tomorrow I'm looking forward to the Lane, but Millwall have fecked that, so its Paternoster Row record fair, Record Collector and then Pub crawl from Nether Green to West St. Weird being home and no game to go to....
