Haha! What a thoroughly ridiculous thing to say!
You've talked yourself into a hole of faux rage and stupidity over something that was said which had absolutely no negative intent. You really need to stop digging for your own sake, trust me.
Do you get annoyed at other ridiculous things? What about The Eurovision Song Contest? I'm sure you're probably a fan! ....."and now our next song is from ABBA who are representing.....well.....Europe, then it'll be Johnny Logan who'll be representing.........Europe......before going to get the scores from Oslo.........in Europe" and then the Canberra jury........so they must be in Europe too".
Nationality is part of someone's basic identity, not an insult, but you know that! Everyone does.
For God sake stop stop digging......or don't, it's up to you.

P.s I'm sure you'll also delight in your own personal internal trauma over my "rainbow lanyards" stance, too. For what it's worth I think anyone who wants to wear one, should be able to wear one. I don't give a shit. I also think that anyone who doesn't want to wear one, shouldn't be made to feel guilty for not doing so and I include the rainbow laces in that opinion, too. Everyone in society deserves respect unless they abuse it. I respect anyone who is gay but I certainly don't feel the need to visually or verbally promote a movement that represents just 1.5% of society, some of whom just seem to 'want' to feel marginalised or offended. The rest, like me I'm sure, don't care.
