Still here! It’s 1 game after 1 week here. Give it time…

First time here he turned it all around against Oxford…. Who we got next…

Poor start. It might take longer than expected. But the team isn't different enough to expect significantly worse results

De ja vue possibly next week as we didn’t kick on when Chris came in until we beat Oxford. Needs to do it again

I’m neither for or against Wilder, but looking at the times of these posts, some of you were obviously stood over your keyboard, fingers ready to pounce. Bet you’re loving it with your, ‘I told you so’ comments.

They were before the game, by saying it was the easiest game of the season so far.
I suspect that to some having their media viewpoint validated is more important than the club doing well.

Or that they assume that after 3 seasons tinkering in the PL that we should now be in the Champions league and need any scapegoat available.

The damage here lies on the new owners, shouldn’t have got rid of Wilder in the first place, now he’s left to pick up the pieces and sort this shit show out. It’s going to take time unfortunately and this season will be about consolidating by the looks of it. To go on in on Wilder after the first game is embarrassing. 😳
Seems most gave him a couple of days to sort it out. I’m hoping they have put plastic sheets on their beds tonight.

What’s your point then sack him and bring Selles back?. Yes it was very poor still but certainly no worse than what Selles was serving up.

I was expecting a better performance today too but just shows Wilder has got a big task on his hands to get this lot firing again.
My point is that performance was worse than under Selles, with selles in charge we had shots on target we created chances (at home) under wilder we are so predictable no pace no no target man nothing for anyone to play off, teams set up to defend and then hit us with a goal

The key word being 'predictable.' Remember when we were feared? Now the opposition just sit back and wait for us to lose the ball.

The first time Wilder came back he had a big job on to win over a lot of the fans, he gave us a bit of fight but we were generally awful defensively for the rest of that season.

Last season he won over a lot of the remaining doubters with a big rebuild and winning football, but his attitude when he started to get criticism in the second half of the season rubbed a lot up the wrong way, so although most fans wouldn't have fired him, many could understand why he was.

This season, a lot of Chris Wilder fans wanted Selles to fail and couldn't accept anyone but Wilder in charge. Now Wilder is back, he has to get results or the fanbase will get even more divided.

Today's game just summed up why he was sacked in the first place, toothless sideways nothing, sloppy defending giving away a goal and substitutions that made the team worse than before. We have to stick with Wilder now whatever happens but he has to find a way to create chances and pick up points quickly or it'll get really toxic.

It was clear that the fans had turned against Selles and NOT the players who got the benefit of the doubt that it was the tactics at fault but now he's gone it's the players who have to justify themselves.

Sad though isn’t it. The only one who seems to have a bit about him. The awful results of our recent transfer activity laid bare. And still no decent right back or a target man or a half decent back up goalie
It is mate, not only is this squad lacking in quality, they are an absolute bunch of cowards, they look like they’re just here to pick up a large wage. I genuinely can’t stand them.

Wilder is complicit in creating this mess in the first place! This is why the board should have gone for a new manager. Can you not recall how shit we were for the majority of last season, especially from around March onwards?

Wilder isn’t a new manager, he’s just had a bit of an extended holiday. So won’t be given time in the same way new managers normally get.

He needs to sort it out very quickly or it could start to turn ugly.

Anyone who’s loving this should hang their heads in shame.

It’s not about loving it, it’s about us laymen spotting things the so called experts should be spotting
