Now the floodgates and morale is down, things are only going to get MUCH worse from here unless something changes.

I get you, we are not in disagreement but.. They're a great (expensive) team..

We shouldn't judge ourselves against them.

The only thing Warnock knows about the PL Is that he can’t stay in it.

Warnock has always struggled at Premier League level.
His skill is gaining promotion from the Championship and more latterly going to a struggling Championship side and saving them from relegation.

Wilder has a similar record of being at weak lower division clubs and making them successful. His achievement of taking a league 1 side to battling it out for a Champions League place with many of the same players is frankly astonishing reminiscent of what Brian Clough did at Nottingham Forest.

It was like some magic spell because if you remember we were going to Arsenal and Spurs away and at times dominating the game.
We had 2 very close games with Man City and during the 1st half totally outclassed Man Utd at Bramall Lane
but once covid started and the season was suspended for a while. Once we resumed playing behind closed doors Wilder was never the same.

Also think he was over reliant on the overlapping centre half tactic.
He was lucky to have 2 players in O'Connell and Basham, who were tailor made to play that role.
Once we lost O'Connell, his replacement could never play that role as well. We also had Basham out for part of the that season too
and Basham replacement couldn't play the overlapping centre back role as well either.

So the jury is still out for me...whether Wilder is still this special manager....maybe it's a case of unfinished business..who knows?
