They're not the same mate. McGoldrick had spent the last few seasons playing at the same level as we were already at. Collins has never played in the Championship, let alone the PL and at 28 he's not going to have the same improvement that a 19-year-old could have; I say could, because not every 19 year old goes onto fulfil their potential.

I'm not against us signing Collins mate, I think he looks a decent player, but I think its a gamble (not financially) to rely on a guy who's spent his entire career in the lower leagues to make the grade in the PL.

If he’s a couple of million he’s not a bad punt. Have him training with us for half a season, see how he goes. If he doesn’t look up to it, loan him out to the championship. If he’s successful there, we’ll get a £5m+ offfer for him.

A Barnsley fan who I see now and then says Keiffer Moore isnt good enough at Championship level and hopes Barnsley will sign a better striker. We do not need another Chris Guthrie

I've had the same feedback from my Barnsley contact . He does , however , wax lyrical about Ethan Pinnock and I'd like to think that he's on our radar .
