What do you think about the match?

A tough match. We should certainly win.
If we win, we will relax! UTB!

Tough place to go.
Keep playing at the same tempo as we have being doing and we should be alright.
Big 3 points this one.

Turned them over in the cup, a point at least coming our way.

Think we will win, they will be sore after losing to Preston though. However, I didnt realise we now have the same points tally as them, they were being touted for a potential play off spot round here not so long ago!

Having 3 games out of the last 6 postponed has not helped their points tally. We need to avoid 10 minutes of panic which has caused us to ship goals and/or points in our last 3 visits there

Yes, last season was a joke in particular. Should have won about 3 or 4-0. I'm predicting quite a tough game this time, and unlike the last 2 seasons a draw may be a good result. Winnable, though ;) UTB!

A draw would be a decent result. Puts an extra point on the board and keeps the run going. That said, the form were in and the way were playing then you can't be sure how they'll line up. Will they put men behind the ball and try to see us off for a draw or will they try and go at us? Personally I think that were that good on the counter that teams won't want to come at us.

Currently we seem better at breaking down stubborn/ defensive sides, so you'd expect us to score, were strong on set pieces - Brayford on sat, miller v Fulham. Not pretty goals but we can cause havoc in the box.

A point minimum, 3 pts if we score first

It's also true that picking up only 1 point from the last three games that they have played hasn't helped either :-)

Just to bump this. Our priority must be the league over all other distractions.

Saying that, I'd take a point tonight.

Fun fact: we've never won at Colchester in a league game, but have won on all 3 trips in the League Cup and FA Cup.

I'm ever the pessimist. A win would be huge as we could go up as far as 12th depending on Oldham, and be within touching distance of the safe pack just above there. But away games you set up to not lose and try to get a single goal lead. That's why ANY away win is a good one. There is always the danger of conceding however and Colchester have been resilient lately so I would expect a draw but would be doing cartwheels if we get a win. A loss would be very upsetting but we could be over confident at the moment as Clough has said he is wary of. Still we have the "Flying Scotsmen" Scoogs and Murphy (Flynn may be rested due to his back) so we can hit them hard on the counter.

i think its win your home games and try for a point away between now and the end of the season. No doubt another poor pitch tonight it will be interesting to see sir Nigel's line up.

I think we'll approach it like the Gillingham game.

The pitch at Colchester looked horrendous too from the highlights I saw, not quite Notts County standard, but it was poor.

Home from work, watered, showered and off out of the door in 10 minutes time when my buddy picks me up!.

Hope for our 6th Consecutive win. Went down there when we beat them in the cup and didn't think much of them then but we did make hard work of it. No doubt we have a much better squad now and from the football we have been playing, hopefully if Colchester play like they did the last time we should make easier work of it fingers crossed.

Anyone else on the road down? Bit late now but we actually have 2 spare seats in the car, only found out this morning.

Oh the joys of a midweek trip to a craphole in the middle of an industrial estate. Hopefully get a pint or 2 in but Colchester offers very little amenities wise as we all know.

Safe journey down Highpeak hopefully returning in the early hours of tomorrow with a win!

Thank you rossb mate just on our way now. Good vibe in car we can all feel a good performance coming on fingers crossed.

What's happens to the usual ' where to drink in colchester' thread.
Not much point me having a pub here if nobody's going to ask! ;-)

I think most people have given up after trying and failing in recent visits to find a boozer :D

Go on then... for future reference. Where would one sup?

Best bet near Colchester station would be handy...

I'm thinking we may win this one... just. I'm going predict a scrappy game most likely not the best game of football you'd ever witness as for the scoreline i'd say it's most likely to be 1-0 with the winner coming from a set piece or defensive error
