My post posited 2 possibilities so I'm not sure why you're making out like one them is what I think more than the other. I'm open minded to both possibilities.

That said, I've heard tell of an instance where Hoyland has put forward a candidate that he liked. The candidate got put into the AI system and Hoyland was told "computer says no". No idea if that's an exception or a regular occurrence, might not even be true given what football gossip is like, but certainly seems plausible.

However he did at least oversee 3 promotions and our greatest ever season in the Premier League so I understood why fans were hesitant to go too hard on him as he certainly did give us some very good times.

I’ve been giving a shit about this club for a lot longer than you have. I was a part of the cohort that persuaded Brealey that his time was up. In the pre internet days it was far more difficult to establish a protest movement than it is today, but we managed it. Whereas you’re not being very competent at it at all.

Fortunately, I don’t suffer from emotional incontinence and I don’t rush thoughtlessly to advocate for protests like a rat diving into a barrel of shit. It’s called understanding the longer game and recognising the fights you can win and the ones you can’t and when those fights should take place. Intelligence, if you like. Ousting Reg Brealey? Talk about living off former glories. I don't give a shit about being competent at organising anything, I care about getting the chat going.. letting others who feel like me know they are not alone and hoping the board see that some fans have already seen them for the charlatans they are and aren't going to gladly suffer much more. Full disclosure on the poll (which is what this thread is, rather than whatever you think it is), I voted "not yet", season tickets aren't up for renewal til March/April so we may as well see what happens in the JTW.

It worked for the pigs, and Chansiri actually splashed the cash in the early years...last Summer's window with parachute payments was our last real chance and the signings were abysmal overall, certainly no sign of intent of giving it a good go this season. Obviously ridiculous sacking Wilder for Selles also. I really have no idea why they bought us, totally out of their depth and unable to take us forwards, and worse than that.. backwards.

So do they deserve any more transfer windows to turn it around or should the boycott start now?

I'd just stop going because why am I paying money for shit? Fuck that

I'm a firm believer that a stitch in time saves nine, I think the concept that we should wait until the club is in absolute tatters like the pigs did before boycotting is insane.

Look how far these owners have dragged us down in MONTHS, I'm not sure any new owner of any club has managed a nosedive quite like this before? GET THEM GONE!

As a genuine question, what do you think fans of the 24 clubs in the championship should demand of their owners before hounding them out?

My view is that all owners should at all costs safeguard the future of each football club, balancing the books through relegation, promotion, success and failure.

Each clubs fans should have different standards relative to their recent history. Context matters hugely.

In the event of new owners coming in whilst in the hunt for automatic promotion, you'd expect them to be able to have funds for a decent stab at Premier League survival, and certainly the funds for a top championship campaign.

Since they don't seem to have the finance to do either then it's beyond my comprehension why spend £115m on buying us. They've been abysmal so far and why any "fans" would be keen to make these clowns feel welcome for much longer is also beyond me.

See how much damage they did in 8 months? Imagine how much more they could do in 8 years.

If the gamble of getting Wilder out and Selles in had worked out then all would be well' Sadly it went in the opposite direction but they had the balls to admit the huge mistake.
We need to wait and see how well they back Wilder in the next transfer window .
Getting rid of the dross brought in by Selles is the key as is the new faces that come in. If they do this and retrieve the season then build well next summer things could be much different, so for me they should be given a chance to get it right.

I think your use of the word "gamble" there is very telling. Because that's exactly what Selles was, there was no evidence on his CV that he could achieve promotion. Then player recruitment went the same way.. out with proven quality like Souza and Anel, in with dross like McGuinness and Matos. Do we want mad gamblers running the club? Honestly to me it feels like they're playing a real life football version of the 1980s board game Go For Broke at the moment and if so they are world class at it.

JTW is usually a disappointment, but it's absolutely make or break for them now after such a disastrous start to their tenure.
