Hemmingham reporting this morning that the club is rumoured to be up for sale.
And a bag advertising Sports Direct for only a pound. He would throw in a pint size tea mug in if you reconsider. Only 50p.
True but I guess the parameters change in the prem he would’ve wanted to sell for a very large profit where as now it’s sounding like any credible offer would be acceptable to get a liability off his hands. Each way it’s not good as it strengthens the sense of uncertainty and general malaise around the club. It also weakens united potential bargaining position and give the nod to clubs looking to acquire assets at below market value.I think the club has always been up for sale, even in the PL, I can't imagine the Prince would have refused the right sort of offer.
Who will be first to blame Wilder?

Makes great sense if your end game is to sell up, a super rich owner coming in with United World already set up is very attractive, smaller scale to the City Group but still attractive to someone looking for a club in England. Why have so many clubs? Doesn't make sense.
In my opinion (if true) would suggest that PA is thinking if we don't get back up before the parachute payments end he doesn't have the funds to keep us running longer term beyond that.
In some ways United seems to odd one to sell because the Premier League is more lucrative financially than any of the other teams he owns but while ever we are outside the PL it's also the biggest money sink. If its true perhaps it's being considered because we don't look like getting back up any time soon.
pros and cons with every potential owner, he wouldn't have the weight of expectation or demands for finishing in the Top 4 of the PL, then again I wouldn't put it past him to propose Sheffield City FCEverything in Football is for sale at the right price....
Controversial maybe but Mike Ashley would not be the worst owner for a club like ours.
Maybe although the rumours around take overs are always so messy it seems there’s always no shortage of hangers on using their interest for clout without ever actually putting cash on the table.Read the other week the, Easdale brothers pulled out of the discussions around taking over Derby, citing the very strict timeline the Administrators were imposing, not sure how accurate the following statements are, but certain pundits claimed the strict timeline, indicated the Administrators were convinced someone extremely rich was very close to meeting all their conditions, and not concerned others had walked away
