I think they ought to have a second-hand shop, where people can donate items of Blades memorabilia they would otherwise donate to charity shops for re-sale by the club, thus ensuring the money goes back into the club.

Whilst I agree that I believe prices are too high.
I think that, if people are preapred to pay it, why not charge it? They're a business after all.
If I think the shirts are too expensive, yet I still buy them, then obviously the pricing they have as it stands is fine.
I see what you mean Robbie, and i suppose they have actually priced the stuff right after working out the elasticity of the products. Therefore, they'd rather sell less at a higher price as if it was lowered people wouldn't buy as many in proportion to the decrease.

It's not really that expensive though if you think about it. A replica shirt is say £35 (that's with ST discount), that's about the same you'll pay for a half decent jacket or shirt to go out in.
And how quickly does fashion in shirts and other casual wear change? It's a lot more than often than football shirts. Also you can wear a football top a lot more than an ordinary top from Republic etc. You'll probably wear a football top to 90% of the games you go to, but it's highly unlikely you'll wear the same jacket for all those games, baring your superstitions.
If you really think about it, football shirts aren't that expensive.

It depends on how often you wore it i suppose, and if it was lucky enough to last something coming off.
For me a football top would be expensive as i hardly ever wear them. But like you said if someone wears it to most matches, then they get their moneys worth.

Been through this before with you,
I very rarely have such problems with my shirts.
So either you are A) washing them at wrong temparature or B) Washing them too much.

Washing them ? I dont buy them anymore there that crap.
Unless we change kit sponsors it will be a while before I wash another.

But why can't a shirt can't last more than a season. I've still got my 06/07 shirt and I wear that to matches. The only thing that's gone wrong was when I put it in the dryer and the sponsor stuck together.
We use the 06/07 kit to play football in too and the only problems with the kit have been where studs have ripped the socks. 15 full kits and not one problem. I fail to see how that can be considered "that crap".

Yeah I can't remember having any problems with any football shirts. None of my United shirts have gone pink from all the washing or anything like that. So £35 for a shirt that I'll still be wearing in a few years time isn't bad at all.
Also I think the biggest kids size will fit me, so I can get that What's that about £20?
