Taken from the Star website.......

Sheffield FC Operations Director and former manager Dave McCarthy has left the club and taken up a role with Sheffield United. McCarthy will be working with United's international commercial team.
During his spell as Sheffield manager McCarthy won three Senior Cups and two League Cups and guided the club to promotion to the UniBond League for the first time.

On the club's website McCarthy said; "Following discussion with the chairman it was clear that my leaving would free up finance for first team players and management.

"It is always sad to lose your job, but I am so pleased to have been offered the role with the Blades so soon after leaving Sheffield FC."

I hope someone who can work well with Club can continue the good work which has been happening at Club in recent years.

With the FA Cup run having left a certain backlog of fixtures, I'm not as confident of success for the Originals as I was last year. That said, Club still have this year's highest attendance in the league so far, a 3-2 win over Retford on New Year's Day.

760 for that division is going summat.

And they're affiliated to t'Blades!
