“United’s recruitment is very, very close to a belated start. Former Leeds United midfielder Ronaldo Vieira is one of a few targets now in advanced talks over a loan move to Bramall Lane.”

Wonder who makes up the rest of the “few”

Not sure, but seeing as we kick off the season in 3 days time, it'd be good to get one over the line.

Davies, garner, Elliott and tommy Doyle the others who’ve been linked on loan

Yeah I interpreted it that way as well. It’s just loans don’t normally fly under the radar like permanents do sometimes it’s usually common knowledge they’re available to be loaned out so it’s probably some of the ones we’ve already been linked with

Nixon saying we haven't made a cash offer for Ben Davies. He didn't mention anything else so I assume that one isn't close.

There’s a load of stuff floating around today about him being available for loan now so long as the deal doesn’t include an option to buy.
 
i wonder if the "few" in advanced talks are all in the same position and we were waiting to pull the trigger on one, rather than it be a few different positions being in advanced talks, but i hope it isnt
 
Don’t take this as gospel as i could be mistaken but I volunteer for a charity who are based at bramall lane and for today i got to be in the executive boxes overlooking the pitches for the work i was doing. While i was in there i saw a group of people emerge and there was one person wearing the training kit that big slav wears (the acid mint one) and he wad talking to someone in the group who looked fairly young and was kitted out in a training kit which was all black (wasn’t our training kit though). Anyway cut a long story short i have a feeling that it was jokanovic and a new signing which they were getting ready to take photos with so could possibly get an announcement tonight

I really wish i could have taken a photo but i was in a meeting and I didn’t have the chance. Like i said, don’t take it as gospel as it could have well been just the grounds staff but in my opinion it didn’t look like the grounds staff

The Jags grainy photo took about 2 days before it was official. Takes our photo and video boys a long long time.

Did you happen to notice if said person was more likely Vieira or Davies?

if viera is close to being over the line i think theres still a possibility of at least one of garner elliott or doyle coming in maybe 2 of those 3 if berge is sold

If berge goes then definitely one of garner or Doyle would be required. Otherwise yeah a more attacking player like Elliott would seem to be what’s required along with is desperately needing a centreback.

what is looking clear is that unless rammy or berge go it will only be loans for us in this window
