Where do you start?

Out of the current squad I think if we're looking at players good enough for a promotion charge then we need to keep Ramsdale, bogle, joc, berge, egan and purely based on their previous seasons at that level brewster and mcburnie.

I would accept a reasonable offer for Baldock if one came in as I think bogle is more than an adequate replacement at that level.

I'd give fleck and mcgoldrick another season and sharp as a backup.

I'd want RND starting next season, he deserves a shot now after some decent loan spells and it saves having to spend.

The rest can go for me. Take anything we can get for Stevens, mousset, Norwood, Fotheringham, Burke and Robinson.

I'd keep osborn and Lowe as back ups but if any offers came in I'd consider them and the release lundstram, Rodwell and jags.

We then need 5 or 6 players who are going to come in and be first team players. Not messing about with squad players who just come in and pick up a wage anymore but players who will genuinely start week in week out.

We then need to pick 3 or 4 of the best under 23s and get them in and around the squad every match day. Probably Maguire, Hackford, Ndiaye and Ayari. Others need to be getting out on loan and playing mens football regularly.

In other words this next pre season is going to be huge for whoever takes over.
Good post.

We need a complete overhaul top to bottom and a whole rebuild. All our players are out of depth in Premier League

And you would have to suggest that without Wilders man management, alot of them aren't even top 6 championship quality if we're brutally honest

But isn't this the rumoured point the Prince is trying to make? He wants a squad overhaul that is more PL ready next season, not one that can only perform given the man management wizardry of Wilder and more importantly, completely reliant on the backing of the Lane faithful.

Wilder apparently wanted to stick by the players that got us here (Enda, Norwood, Fleck, etc) and supplement with PL quality loans. The Prince wanted a clear out.

Perversely, yesterday's 5-0 thrashing has gone someway to proving the Prince right!

Players I would like to see go:

Foderingham
Verrips (If he is no use to us?)
Jags
Ampadu (I assume we won't keep him beyond his loan)
Stevens (Bring in RND)
Kean Bryan
Jack Robinson
Rodwell
Lundstram
Moose

Let's be honest, from today's starting eleven only Ramsdale, Basham, Baldock,
and Fleck are any where near top championship level.
... but add to that JOC, Bogle, Egan and Brewster, with possibly McG and you have the nucleus of a decent team.
There are a few others that would be good squad players in the Championship

We are looking at a team completely void of confidence and I truly believe we are much better than this year suggests. These are the same players that gained automatic promotion from the championship and finished in 9th last year. Confidence is a bitch in sports. It comes and goes and sometimes comes again.

First off, I would send them all off for the summer, and say anyone who doesnt fancy a long hard 46 game season in the Championship to find a club. Dont care who they are, non have elevated themselves to irreplaceable level this season

Probably expect Ramsdale, Bash, Stevens, Baldock, JoC*, Norwood, Fleck, McG, Billy, McB to turn up
I reckon Brewster, Burke, Bogle may try to engineer a move, but when only EFL clubs come in, end up staying
Egan could do it at a Burnley/Brighton/Palace
Berge will probably go, Lunny checked out about April last year when Berge arrived.

So if we kept -
Ramsdale
Baldock, JoC, Bash, Stevens
Bogle, Fleck
Brewster, McB

Subs - Norwood, McG, Billy, Burke

we need to add 3 or 4 first teamers, and a few subs.

Not suggesting that team can win the league, the back 4 are all older and slower than last time, but if Egan did stay, or we brought in a young energetic lad?
Midfield need reinforcements, Fleck is 30, but not had a game based on speed so slowing down wont have as much of an impact, can Bogle step into Mid.

with the right service, I reckon Brewster & McB could be 20 a piece at that level (right service been the variable in there) as they have proved it before

Hopefully we can get £30m for Berge if he wants to move, and PA lets whoever is in charge to spend that

*cant see him getting a move anywhere given his 12 month lay off
