Although a proper journeyman, he did so well after his initial loans from Hull City, I was living in Harrogate in 2002-2004 when he played for Harrogate Town and saw him there - that's when they were in and around the Conference North level and you could tell he was something different over his 2 spells. When he was released by Hull and went to Conference/National League York City he did well to get back into the football league. A top bloke!

I remember watching the Norwich game on a stream. When Tettey underhits the backpass Clayton is on the wing, 25 to 30 yards from goal. I still remember saying out loud "goal", and so it proved

We were very good that season. Shame Coutts got injured as I think we could've done back-to-back
