Big Clayton doing what a lot of us knew he would do - getting goals and running beyond defenders. l hope his injury isnt too bad.

Might not have helped when the other boys upended him and stretched his hammy thinking it was cramp..Big Clayton doing what a lot of us knew he would do - getting goals and running beyond defenders. l hope his injury isnt too bad.
Is there any news on this injury? Seems to have gone all quiet on this.
Presume we will find out today, Journos will be interviewing wilder ahead of Bolton tomorrow
Donaldson is a player I wanted at the lane 5 years ago, 4 years ago, I could go on. Yes, he probably isn't as mobile as he used to be, but he's powerful, got an eye for goal, and has got experience at this level.
I'm happy with this signing, plus on a 1 year contract with an option to extend we have got this deal spot on. If he chips in with 7/8 goals it'd be worth it. When Clarke's back from suspension our options look better, and when Lavery is fit again I'm fairly content with our striking options.
I would've liked some more pace in the side, but that's not what Donaldson was bought for, that's what the 3 failed signings were for by the sounds of it.
If we had only signed Cole or Sinclair I'd have been much less enthused.

Not available tomorrow but could make Saturday is what Chris said but he hesitated and I'm not sure they've reviewed the scan yet.Presume we will find out today, Journos will be interviewing wilder ahead of Bolton tomorrow
Is all this success affecting you? You've started doing serious posts... Most disappointing.Unlikely for tomorrow, hopeful for the weekend.
Good news. Really want him playing in the Derby.
Wouldnt surprise me if Wilder is non commital either way.
Bolton and Norwich then won't know for sure whether to prepare their defense against Donaldson, Ched or Brooks.
Being fair - wilder had always said we have to be clever and get players from different pots.
Duffy last year was 30 odd and free but could do it at the level required. First impressions of Donaldson is the same think he can do it in the here and now. And surely that's the entire point a good cost effective signing has been made to add to the team - wilder was clever enough to see that even if no one else in the league wanted him.
And let's face it we couldn't afford a 27/28 year old Donaldson at his prime.
To be fair we could have afforded a 27 year old free agent Donaldson who had just scored 26 goals for Crewe but apparently Danny Wilson preferred Chris fucking Porter.
Haven't seen any of his goals, but I would be amazed if he is actually banging them in.Quite ironic as well that Porter is now banging them in for Crewe.

Now I don't know whether to laugh... Or be afraid.
Feck me, I've seen far worse up front for us than Chris Porter. I liked the guy, he always gave his all and scored the odd crucial goal.

Clayton Donaldson:
- scored 5 goals for us. None of them were at the Lane.
- was one of the 2 best Blades players I have seen at killing the game in injury time by holding it up in the corner. The other is Glyn Hodges. His work in the last 5 minutes of the "Take your time" game at Norwich in 2018 is a thing of beauty.
- did not score tap ins. All of his goals are worth looking at again, for the amount he has to do each time.
I remember watching the Norwich game on a stream. When Tettey underhits the backpass Clayton is on the wing, 25 to 30 yards from goal. I still remember saying out loud "goal", and so it proved.

The 2 goals away at Villa were top class finishes, especially the first one where he lobbed the keeper after bringing the ball down from over his shoulder
