Donated... If Clayton Donaldson scores tomorrow, I'll chuck in some more.

Donated mate. Good on you for having it done, might take some explaining in a few years that!

Slipped in a tenner and I promise to slip in another £10 for every goal Donaldson scores tomorrow and at Bolton on Tuesday...

Thoroughly hope that ends up being £40 plus

Brilliant thank you

Raised £495. So looks like I will be having his name and not his face. Will post when it's done going to book in tomorrow. If you want to change it and make me have his face you better get donating quick ⚪⚔️

I heard your interview Brett and I just think this whole thing is a stupid idea. Don't get me wrong, I think it's admirable that you changed your original plan and decided to raise money for charity, respect to you for that, but really this all started out as pranking about to potentially make an arse of yourself in front of your mates. It would have been even more admirable if, instead of threatening to deface yourself, you'd have considered doing something for the community? Anyhow, it's done now and I wish you all the best with it, but I think it's a crazy thing to do and embarrassing tbh, especially for Clayton Donaldson who will be aware that some bloke in Sheffield is wandering around with a picture of his face, or his name, on his arse!

Fuck it, #YOLO

What would you suggest 'doing something for the community' wise, CB? Very vague that!
Fair play, for me. The lad was obviously trying to make a point on DD, got caught out by the club signing Clayts and instead of deleting the tweet or backing out, is not only going through with his promise but has turned it around to raise £500 for LJS too. GLTTL

Right, we have reached £515, I'm going to keep accepting donations until 21st October. The week after that the tattoo will be getting done. Up to now I'm having his name. But if we reach £1000 by then I will have a picture of him.

Hi everyone, just a quick update. With how well the fundraising has gone so far, I truly believe the £1,000 target is achievable. I was going to take this donation page down at the end of the month and get the tattoo done. However after thinking about this and listening to ideas on how we can reach the full target for the foundation I've decided to keep it open longer. During this time I will be looking to promote this more and I'm currently in the process of sorting a raffle out with a number of great prizes with all proceeds going to the total. As soon as we hit the target I will be in the chair. If we somehow don't reach the target after a certain amount of time I will close the donation page down and get the name tattooed, but we will see how the raffle and donations go. So if you can donate that would be great it's all for the LJS Foundation and I want to raise as much as possible for them.

A worthy sentiment.

However...Rather than having his face tattooed on your arse why not have an arse tattooed on your face?

Clayton Donaldson is on his 11th club and has only had 2 appearances since joining the Blades.

Do something worthwhile to raise the money rather than defacing your body with a meaningless tattoo of a player that wont be with us maybe by the end of the year.

You sound a genuine bloke, my advice (for what its worth). Don't do it.

Also you may wish to check the LJS Foundation still exists as it's web page is inactive (when checked today) and twitter page for Louis Jacob Sharp forwarding donations to Martin House Children's Hospice in Wetherby. I presume you know this and maybe have checked with the foundation first before taking anyones money.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but a quick check on the Charity Commission site shows that the Luey Jacob Sharp Foundation was removed from the register in October 2014 so you may wish to alter your gofundme page and make it clear where donations are going.

It may be worth contacting Billy via the club regarding his preferred charity before taking any money off anyone.

Hi thank you for your input, yes I've checked this and all LJS Foundation money now goes to Martin House Children's hospice. I have therefore decided to donate 50% to the hospice and 50% to the Sheffield children's hospital when the target is reached. The go fund me page will be updated in due course. Thank you again. UTB

Everything updated guys, although ljs has stopped being a registered charity the money will be going to the foundations chosen charity to support, Martin's house children's hospice. As well as the Sheffield children's hospital. I will be keeping the donation page open for longer in hope to raise the full £1000 and see how fundraising goes. If we reach a stalemate I will get the tattoo done and withdraw whatever amount is raised to the 2 charity's.

Donation page now closed. I said at the end of the season I’d get the tattoo done. Well I’m booked in for 13 June to have the tattoo done. Booked in the same day Clayton is released! I’m still going ahead with this as I’m a man of my word. What’s everyone think? Stick to the Clayton Donaldson name tattoo or have something else? Either way I will do it. As soon as the tattoo is done in June I will post a picture (just a small one lol) then the donation will be made to the charity. On go fund me we managed to raise £525 this means the total to be donated after go fund me fees will be just short of £440. Keep your eyes peeled in June for the reveal. UTB

If not his face then why not have his name and number just how it appears on the back of his shirt? Same font etc.

Good idea mate! I will contact my tattoo artist and see what he thinks. At least this way it’s still a Blades tattoo even though Clayton has gone! UTB

Why not price it up and then add the cost of having it removed added in and donate the whole amount to charity and leave yourself unblemished?
