Same for tucking the ball in your shirt (without handling it) etc

It's a catch-all for 'being a dick'

He did it as a response to Alan Ball doing the same thing the previous season , when Arsenal came and completely destroyed us in one of the most impressive performances by an an away team I ever saw at the Lane .

On this occasion , the boot was on the other foot when we did the same to them in an outstanding performance orchestrated by TC .

At this point I would like to challenge the oft repeated comment on here that he ‘wasn’t fit to lace Hagan’s boots’ based on what their fathers / grandfathers had told them .

I had the pleasure and privilege of watching both of them for a number of years and can say unequivocally that on their day , both were outstanding footballers capable of moments of sheer genius and deserve equal recognition .

In the October 1972 match he got sent off and the Lane crowd cheered loudly, Ball responded by slow handclapping sarcastically at the crowd.
