Early days but we are class right now. I am bemused with Wilder's post match views, first half was rapier like footy, the best I have seen, seriously it was that good. Slick, skillful, accurate and creating chances galore. Second half was always going to be tougher and OK some passes went wayward but we were always the more likely team to win that game, we were a country mile better than Leeds. We grow stronger game by the game, more creative, more controlled, more destructive. We aren't the finished article yet, this will be addressed in January but we are top on merit right now and nobody can argue with that.

Never been as proud as I am tonight.

I would agree with Wilder that there were some misplaced passes, but I thought we were generally very good again. Possibly if overly critical I’d perhaps say CCV perhaps should have cleared his lines for their goal, but we crafted two good opportunities for Sharp to bag another, saved well, and created some chances for Clarke. I had a feeling when Brooks came on that this might have been the moment for his first goal – what a calm finish it was. It wasn’t our best performance but I don’t think it was average. And what a result.

CCV is the weak link

If that was your interpretation then that wasn’t what I meant. He is a more physically stronger defender than any of the current crop, but does have weaknesses in him that were exposed today in one instance. Other than that he was fine. I will accept the occasional weakness. It was the first game in a while where I didn’t think I wished Wright had been playing too for the organisational skills as we looked well on it at the back.

It's to keep that midfield on top form and not to become complacent mind games from Tufty !

don't forget we're new to this league and when they scored all be it out of the blue good finish granted fair play,we could've had a confidence crisis coincided a second ,lost shape panicked but no not this team apart from their lad hitting the post from twenty yard we denominated the game like we where the home team and big jamal had nowt to do ,empty seats before the end with only a goal in it tells a story.these are glory days enjoy.

I thought CW was honest and spot on with his assessment.
I lost count the number of times i nearly chucked the remote at the TV due to our sloppy especially in the 2nd half.
O'Connell being the biggest culprit followed by Coutts and Fleck in fact i think there was only Basham who hardly gave the ball away.

But we still won and thats all that matters.
