Colin Kazim-Richards looks set for a move to Fenerbahce, skysports.com understands.

The Sheffield United forward is already a full Turkish international and is highly regarded within Turkey.

Although born in London, Kazim-Richards chose to represent Turkey - his mother's country of origin.

Now he looks set to earn a big money move to one of the country's biggest clubs.

Besiktas have been chasing the 20-year-old, but Fenerbahce have now made a move to secure his signature.

Turkish sources claim Fener, who are still reeling from the departure of star man Tuncay Sanli to Middlesbrough earlier this week, have agreed an €800,000 (£540,000) deal for Kazim-Richards.

Should Fener seal the move - then Kazim-Richards will be playing his football next season alongside such players as Roberto Carlos, Alex and Stephen Appiah.

I would be gutted if CKR moved on, he is one of the few players at the club with the pace, skill and confidence to beat deffenders.

Unless the fee rises past the million pound barrier, i would consider this a massive mistake.

That is a fucking joke, what the hell is going on?

I thought we had moved on from being a selling club?

500k?????? Jesus christ United.

Agreed.

The fee is an utter joke.

Bang on

This is a very low amount united come on!

Maybe we could sell a few more of our main players at bargain basement prices and then it'll be just like the good old days!
Hope they've got their numbers wrong

I suppose this may be put into perspective if a couple of mind blowing midfield signings arrive once this arbitration shenanigans is over but at this moment in time i feel CKR is a player who will make a massive impact next year and losing him would be a real blow.

Na Jodman, no matter who we bring in, we should not be selling at such a price. So far though, I doubt there has been a bid come in for him.

Good to see theres no let up in slagging off the club without and hard evidence.

If they sold him for 500k would you allow us to slag the club off?

I never said you couldn't slag them off, I just think its a little unfair and premature when it hasn't actually happened yet.

I smell a journo filling his page allocation.

How the hell do we keep the interest with no games on? 'Hey, that CKR has just played for Turkey, obvious story there, link him with one of the Turkish big boys!!'

Some of the Turkish players could have talked him into it. It's certainly very possible, and just because we think he's worth more, doesn't necessarily mean that he is.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him go. A little saddened, but not surprised. Let's just hope Robbo can get a good replacement if he does.

I think you are being a bit deffensive there Foxy...

...I'm bored with the close season already and this is a sheffield united story reported on a national level, hence i thought it could be interesting to gauge peoples opinions on whether this would be a good deal for a player who takes a fair amount of stick from certain quarters.

This is a forum for sheffield united fans isn't it?

you're right, I am a bit having re-read the comments, aren't as bad as first seemed.

What i'm getting at is the willingness to slag off the club before an event has even happened/been attributed with a decent source :)

It is indeed great to gauge peoples opinions and a great discussion point, providing it doesn't just turn into a slagfest regarding an unconfirmed fee :)

I very much agree and i can assure you that i am not the sort to post negativity or to criticise the club without due cause, and even then i will do so on the very rare occasion that i feel such a post / opinion is justified and constructive.

as my signature suggests, i am an optimist :)

Don't have a problem with negativity in the slightest :) providing its justified :)

Then you should sit near us on the GWS, you would fit right in with some of the fans around us :-)

id sell CKR for over a million.

not his biggest fan,

falling over... tries too fancy stuff when basic will do, tries beating players and looses it to them and his croosing ration needs work... but hes worth more that 500k!

he's off for £1.275m.

Slightly dissapointed because I think he has what it takes to become an excellent player. Problem is Fenerbache will offer him far more in terms of wages than we would, so little we could do anyway.

We'll have to see who's coming in.

Have to say I was impressed with him last season (and annoyed with him for parts of it too).. think he could have been much more promising in Championship and needed bit more work in Premiership but good luck to him

fantastic move for him, champions league football at a top club.

It amazes me how many people slag a player and then decide to slag the club when they sell that player for over a million pound return!

Good luck to CKR... but with all the wonderkids we've had at the Lane who had potential, there's nothing to say he wouldn't have turned out like the majority of the rest of them and amounted to nothing. Where are your Lee Morrises and Wayne Quinns these days?

We've got loads of money back and will obviously look to spend it... on someone who maybe is proven.

think CKR would have been better if he went to the champ with us then the prem instead of slung into the prem.

Im less disappointed now that the fee is a little bit more realistic, but i have seen enough from him to believe he can become a very good player. To that end, i think this sale will prove to be a mistake.

I really do hope that two top quality midfielders are brought in over the coming weeks, i'm sick of talking/thinking about the arbitration and want to get excited about new talent for next season.

Rossi on loan might be a good shout?, I had thought he'd made his deal permanent.

All reports tonight suggest otherwise though.

Know he's not strictly a nailed on midfielder, but think he'd do well there.

hope we sign someone soon. need something else to moan about ;)

shame to see him go, i liked him as a player.

but got more than a million back so good busines and good luck to him
