Extended version from radio "in my day".......Summer up.
First half started well and better team, could have had more than two and probably should have.
After half time they catch us with a 30/35 yard wonder goal that Moore couldn't do naff all about due to it moving all over in air.
They then bang in another great goal from distance which you can consider In similar respects to the first..However with that one we perhaps could have got out a bit quicker.
After that Swindon could smell a bit off anxiety and made a good show of themselves, they are scrapping for their lives and really tried to capitalise on our nerves....
At that point for a while it could have gone either way. We both went for it and we had to defend properly and we did a decent job in doing so. He can't remember that many clear cut Swindon chances and we dealt with them professionally
We then kicked on again and scored. He felt at that point that we could have had a couple more than the two that we did.....
Overall very chuffed....Gives credit to opponents but will take 3 points all day long. Continues to explain that after 6 years in this division, the fans just want wins and don't really care how they come.....7 points from 3 very tough away games is a great return.
..................................
Lavery ( I initially thought was tactical) - turns out it was a tight hamstring. Wilder states it a shame in the game because he ran them ragged and caused lots of problems.....Prognosis = good, will be fit for weekend but precautionary and with a very strong bench, why risk him?
Wright - Only trained one day due to gashed nosed and concussion and rules surrounding latter. Again a resounding why risk him? Confident in all other our other players.
Duffy - Very close to tonight but again why risk him? He will be fit and in contention / squad Saturday. Be great to have him back again.
Jay o'shea...A swift "yeah did well".....With typical wilder emphasis on team performance as opposed to individuals all the time #spreadthelove
