That it’s been said several times already this season and has proven to be an entirely inaccurate bed wetting appraisal of the situation.

Do you agree that because of what Wilder said we aren’t going to get another point?
Yes, Wilder and the team have really proven the doubters wrong, haven’t they?

Wilder has probably known for a long time that the squad needs a shake up just because he has only just come out and said it in the media doesnt mean he hasnt known about it
I dont know why people hang so much on press conferences from Managers they have to be careful what they say and cant say what they are probably really thinking
I do agree on Lundstram he should have binned him off a long time ago

They’ve proven that the comment was incorrect.
They’ve proven we won’t go down with the lowest number of points ever.
Given the squad depth, and then the injuries since Christmas I think there’s clearly still a spirit there, it’s just lacking quality and alternate options to those woefully out of form.

In general, though, it’s hard to escape the fact that the so-called bedwetters have been more right than wrong about us this season.

Look at the ratio of games per season with regards to Swift and you’ll quickly see why we only offered £3.5m.
So we cant have been going for him as Lunnys replacement then, who did Wilder actually bring in to replace Lunny? I guess the answer is obvious...nobody? So that was a big mistake.

And why were we after Swift in the first place, maybe he was another 3-5m championship player we were accumulating as back up along with Osbourn, Robinson, Burke,Lowe who are taking up a wage bill and not good enough.

Not really. Saying we’ve got a weak squad, or that we’re not playing well or that we shouldn’t have bought x y or is one thing.
Saying we’re not going to get 5,10, anymore points has been proven wrong. The fact we’re going down doesn’t make those OOT and stupid posts true.

We went seventeen games without winning earlier this season so I don’t see how predicting a ten game losing streak is either stupid or OTT.

People who said we’d struggle at the beginning of this season were called bedwetters and the rest—I was one of the ones calling them that! But they were right.

But all our money was spent buying back the ground etc, otherwise we would have been able to afford to land number 1 targets and match wages. Our chairman had to buy very expensive things he couldn’t initially afford, hence spending the clubs premier league income. Simply we weren’t financially ready to compete in the epl. Now we own the ground etc, we can start to build a worthy squad.

It would be nice to think we'd start next season with Jack, Egan, Berge, Baldock, but somehow I can't see it.
