Just switched on and there he was, suited and booted!

I've noticed his propensity to use the word 'proper' quite a lot. Needs to reduce that or it might become a bit of a caricature. (Proper club, proper manager, etc).

Agree Tyler. He is going to become very high profile which will have plusses and minuses. You can bet that many club Chairmen are becoming all too aware of him and it won't be long before we have a very big club on the phone.

The guy just talks sense. Summed it up perfectly re young players needing to get out on loan to get experience. Unfortunately these young lads are badly advised by their agents which could damage their careers in the long run.

The big club should save their money. According to one sage on here, he's being sacked in December.

We want our players and managers to be sort after, it means we're doing well and going places. We need to have the balls to say no and keep hold of em if we want to go up.

He looks very pink and shiny. Is the tie in our away colours?

Wonder what his motivation for going on is - as he looks as though it's a stressful experience.

I guess it's good for a manager to get a high profile. The more players see him as a well-known TV manager maybe the more likely they are to be happy to come to us as it raises our perceived status.

Obviously, it raises Tufty's personal profile as well - but that's OK. Also gets him on their pundit list for when he wants to give up the day job!

Interesting how Dowie keeps saying Chris will know more about this than me.

I like seeing him on there.

Magic

Agree we should refuse all sensible offers
But what if another club makes a stupid offer?

What if a club offered £10 million for Brooke's, with a loan back clause for 2 years.
Surely we'd accept an offer that could enable us to strengthen and improve our chances of promotion.

I maybe way off the mark here, but Wilders stance on the Agent situation and the Bleacher report article may raise a few eyebrows at the FA and someone may actually take a look at this, its damaging every aspect of the game.

If it's a good deal for the club and helps fund a promotion then yeah, just like the DCL transfer last year. It's about being smart and not digging yourself into a hole like we did in league one.

Wilder is key though, I wouldn't take 10million for him. We need to back him and let him run the club as he sees fit.

Luckily the premier league clubs look down on championship managers, so we have nowt to worry about.

Only problem might be if we're stuck in this league in a couple of years and Chris still isn't getting the backing to take us to the next level and a big relegated club comes knocking with big money. We'd either have to give him what he wants or let him go.

I worry that this problem might come much sooner than a couple of years.
Imagine December/January and we are doing well and flirting with the play offs and Southampton, a former club of Wilders, are bottom 6. Still no sign of the promised 'serious investment' etc etc......

I wonder how much notice managers get to appear on these programmes. And do they need permission from their club. Or are briefed on what they are allowed to say/reveal. Just wondering as CW seems to have his own barometer on what he says. Which I don't disagree with by the way, it's a breath of fresh air.

He is coming across as very dry,i think its fair to say no change there then,i would imagine he is under no pressure, but he does not want to go out in the rain in the suit,

I think whoever did his make up is from the Essex area. Looking rather orange!

How much do you think the owners have 'invested'?

CW doesn't look completely comfortable yet, but will get there.

Just goes to show what you will sign up to when approached after having a few pints at the local.:eek::eek:

I'm not sure Pinchy. I recognise that they have underpinned operational issues, but it's not what I or you think, it's what Chris Wilder may think, that matters ?
