After seeing him almost fall off the front of the bus, raising the trophy approaching the Town Hall, didn't think it was possible to love Christopher Wilder any more.

I was wrong.

McCabe confirms Ched Evans transfer

Events of the last few days have underlined just how little Ched Evans matters to where we are now.
Watching that parade and listening to Wilder's utterly bonkers and brilliant interview showed it's the players and manager we have now are what matters.
Wednesday might go up in a few weeks but their fans won't have anything like the same connection with the club we have.
Unless Carlos goes to the same barber.

Brilliant interview lucky enough to hear RS show while i had to be work this evening which was easy as noone was shopping as everyone was in town, the last 3 mins with tangent on where he parks where he gets his haircut & pushing todd in the fountain was hilarious. Seeing all pictures & videos Trying to figure who was more drunk on the open top bus wilder or flintoff in 05 at ashes. Probally a Close run thing :D

I just hope our fans show Wilder loyalty when we have a few bad results.
My personal view is that Wilders has now won himself a massive amount of goodwill, patience and loyalty.

That's one of the things I remembered about the latter end of Bassetts tenure.
There was no animosity or great cries for "Bassett out".

And although many accepted Bassett deserved to be sacked, there was still a tinge of sadness at his departure. Even now Bassett is still thought of as a Blade, such was his affect at creating a Blades United spirit within the club. Wilder has many Bassett qualities but of course Wilder plays much better "beautiful" football.

I agree, i said this on different thread somewhere about lets not recreate leicester & ranieri implosion

first post from me, but boy, Chris Wilder is truly one of us. No manager i've ever seen in modern football has shown such a passion to the team he's managing. We should relish this moment, and remember it, as there will be shit times ahead in the championship. I love EVERYTHING about united at the minute.

The interview with wilder is fucking hilarious!!. He's well and truly fucking wankered!!. I'm with him on being refused entry to jose's!!. I was very drunk though!!. Pushing Todd in the fountain is funny. I just wish I could have been in Sheffield tonight to witness the celebrations!!. Utb

It was a fine celebration of a tremendous season of achievement, with inpunctuality, boring speeches from Town Hall officials and a strong element of laddish culture thrown in.

I genuinely fell blessed that we have a manager who is so passionate about us and is SUFC through and through. I hope he is given the time to build the blades into a force to be reckoned with. Top, top bloke.

Well now i know that i go to the same hairdressers as wilder.

I really do hope he gives us a few more seasons to be grateful about.

After listening to that, I think it's abundantly clear that Chris Wilder has a talent that should be given it's own radio show, with it's own bar fully stocked, with Chris inviting guests on to reminisce about Sheff Utd, football in general, and the world at large. Trouble is, as hard as he'd try, the strict perimeters that are demanded in radio would occasionally be flouted as the odd swear word would embellish the show.......but would anyone really care? Not I, or the thousands of Unitedites, but of course there's be envious wendy supporters who would adopt a prudish attitude as if no one swears over at S6.....it'll never happen of course, but radio's loss, and in Chris Wilder we have a unique pairing of club and manager, they were meant for one another, now bring on the Championship, life's about to get a whole lot better UTB!

Proud to be a Blade listening to that. The passion of the players and Chris sums up what a special club this is.

The comment, "thanks Cookie, another drink, coz I haven't had enough"! Laughed my head off!

Its making me laugh, picturing wilder waking up with sore head & getting blurry flashbacks to what happened last night. Please tell me i didnt frisbee hat off the lord mayor or go off on a great monologue live on the radio :D

Wilder as he woke up this morning

Loved the rendition of "No pig fans in Town" with Chris belting it out and sheer delight at what it all meant to him.
Bet he was a nightmare in the Dressing Room with his mischievous antics.
Top Man was often associated with a blokes outfitters. Not any more.
A highly polished Diamond

Is the audio of this interview available anywhere on line? Or on here?

I've been trying to explain to an exiled blade about the "everyman" quality of lord wilder....think a link would help
