Well, that was an incredibly enjoyable afternoon. Best player ( not currently playing) player on pitch Paul Coutts, closely followed by Michael Brown, and it was just brilliant to see loads of ex legends back in a blades shirt. Wilder looked a bit choked at the end - it was that kind of day.

And there was just enough pantomime to make it funny too

Did anyone blnote the full lineups. Where we were we weren't able to see the screen fully. Didn't help that Gary Sinclair only seemed to (vaguely ) announce those leaving the pitch and not those joining it.

I couldn’t agree more.
I know it was a friendly charity match & the opposition weren’t up to much apart from Michael Brown (my Lord) but he just purred along in that way he used to in his pomp.
He never gave the ball awayyyyyy

Seeing the holy trinity back together with Couttsy calling the shots….. just brilliant & made me think how lucky we were to watch that every week.

i really enjoyed the game, i was saying would be great to have this as an annual event. there was a lot of laughs, great to see the old players. that korean with the camera was very funny. he was treating it like it was the fa cup final. although a cracking volley infront of the kop

Sheffield had a good day today, had a walk in town before hand and saw that the forces, police, fire etc. were having a sort of event, with the view I feel to inspire the youths, and it felt that, for once, they’d taken advantage of the fact United were having a family day in town and this might be a great opportunity to inspire people into those careers.

I also had a thought today that SWFC really are no where near us off the field, and how brilliant it is that we’re the club next to the town centre, whilst they’re in south Barnsley!
