I watched this yesterday and really enjoyed it.

Basham is one of those players that our fans really identify with. Not the most technically gifted player but one that certainly makes the most of his ability and occasionally delights with skills you never thought he was capable of! He's overcome adversity too, his first couple of seasons with us were fairly non-descript until Wilder came in and he reverted to that RCB position, which as he rightly says, could be called 'The Basham role'.

Seems a great guy too.

He understands the Sheffield United Way and how this has not been effective during lockdown.

Trying to explain this to new young players has not been easy.

We all need to get back to normal as soon as possible so these players can experience the unique Sheffield United Way and not just have it described theoretically.

After viewing that it makes you realise, it's even more important to keep hold of Wilder. CW has helped players like Bash to develop their game and should he leave, then it will be like a collapsing pack of cards. I get the feeling that many players would consider that without CW at the helm, what would be the point in hanging around? There's no doubt that most of the players who have come on the same journey (apart from Lunny) enjoy playing for Chris Wilder, more so than the club itself.

The thing that sums Basham up is that is demands and gets the absolute maximum out of himself, and proves what can be achieved through hard work and having a great attitude.

We've been lucky to have for as long as we have, as he is committed to the club, is a real team player and during his first couple of seasons he was one of the players who stood out as he never hid, unlike several others.

I've also been fortunate to meet his family a handful of times, and they are really really good people, and it isn't hard to see where Bash gets his attitude from.

Any young ‘uns wanting to get in the game need to learn from Bash, attitude, application, being the fittest player at the club, having the heart of a lion along with his underrated ability has made him a legend. Love him

Said it many times, there is nothing Bash could have done more in our rise under Wilder. Been an absolute pleasure to see him prosper and play to his absolute potential. To win a player of the year award in a Premier League side, you have to be a bit special to do that! and his sublime Bashambauer tricks will live long in the memory.

Agree Great Interview, Bash just get's it ,Attitude, Professionalism, Humility, This applies both on and off the field for him, a few could learn a lot from Bash.

Mousset, Lundstam, think your time is up here, BUT this is how to you should have applied yourself at this club. Shame because Mousset has ability, but doesn't have the Attitude or Professionalism needed. Applies to Lundstram since his contract saga.

Mcburnie take note ,could make a difference, especially Off field.

Rhian Brewster, this is someone to look up too, listen and learn as much as you can from him, get under his wing, You won't go far wrong.

Bash is a club legend. 33 and still beating everyone else in the fitness department. Model pro and one of our best players. He'll be talked about as one of our best in decades to come.
