I've seen this lad play a number of times and although he looks on the heavy side he is deceptively quick. He's a colossus in the air, marked Hanson out of the game and outpaced our forwards on a number of occasions seen we played through balls down the middle.

On last nights performance he'd be a better bet than EEL next season who I thought looked distinctly dodgy, especially when in possession of the ball.

Thought he looked clumsy at Bramall Lane but decent last night. Definitely a good athlete.

Ricky, I m pretty sure he was playing non league a couple of seasons ago so probably still got room to develop and wouldn't cost a fortune

To be fair though, after EEL's first few games he was really good for us and provided the dominance in defence we had been crying out for since Harry left.........and he scored a couple of very important goals for us as well. Since his loan extension and new deal at Wolves though, I do think his performances dropped off a bit and he has made some real howlers. He is great in the air defensively and in attack but he is definately suspect on the floor against quicker players IMO.

Yeah EEL did well to sign that contact extension. On last nights performance hes not good enough for the championship. Only one game I know but he is one of the reasons we need Wright in the team. However at a higher level you can't afford players who need a 'baby sitter' to look after them. From what I've seen this season I think JOC is a better prospect than EEL, he was certainly miles better than him last night.

If we continue to play 3 at the back when we go up I can see Basham playing the 'Wright role' with JOC and a strong mobile newby...maybe Dunkley

He was playing non league a couple of seasons ago yes..for Kidderminster!

And his brother Tristan Dunkley played for Worcester for a couple of seasons before this as well, blessed with even more raw pace, came on as sub in the Cup game vs the Blades.

Having seen him a number of times this season, I am able to say with some confidence that Dunkley is definitely not good enough and would be way out of his league in the Champ should Utd manage to get up.

Big, strong, decent in the air and obviously a threat at set pieces but when defending he is positionally poor, not comfortable with the ball at his feet and his decision making is questionable. I'd definitely say that EEL is a long way ahead of him.

All about opinions mouth but I think you are wrong. Oxford's defence is their main strength and only 3 sides have conceded less goals this season . I don't think he's missed a game and when I ve seen him he's looked good. The Oxford fans rate him and he was definitely a lot more comfortable will the ball at his feet on Tuesday night than EEL !

I seem to remember a Chey, is his attitude better than the one we had?

Thought he was very poor all night. Yes he is a big strong athletic centre half. But he's dreadful on the ball. The oxford fans voted the other centre half as MoM and they conceded 3!

Very Good Centre Back from Oxford, scored against us at their place, 25 years Old, has rejected a new contract and will leave Oxford. Got a mate who is an Oxford fan and whilst disappointed to let Jake Wright go last summer was confident they would be Ok as they had Dunkley and Nelson.

He maintained throughout the season he was happy to see Jake succeed he said he still wouldn't break up the Dunkley-Nelson partnership. they conceded less than Millwall, Scunthorpe and Southend last season all teams who finished above them.

Whilst he didn't play under Wilder he did play with Jake Wright,

Wouldn't be surprised to see this come off. I also used his full name in the title for full effect.

Oxford have a lot of good players. They underachieved last season.

Dunkley's an athlete and I'd have to see more to judge him properly, but from what I did see he doesn't look much better than EEL.

Would make a fortune for the club shop on the back of shirts. Mind you, you'd need at least a size XFB to get even half his name.

Being an athlete alone gives him a step up on EEL imo. Plus he comes without a fee and even with the inflated wages a free transfers comes withi still think his wages will be lower than EELs wilder stated we need 2 CBs at least to replace the two we have lost (Wilson and EEL) id be extatic if the replacement for Wilson was Dunkley.

Don't want him anymore.

'However, he is accident-prone, and finds himself out of position too often (second goal against Fleetwood). We have not missed him in the last three games. I would be very surprised if a Championship side took a serious interest, unless they are looking for a player on the cheap, and Birmingham have done that before (Matt Green, I think). Like socrates, I would be surprised if he had been offered a contract.'

Who can come up with a song to include his full name. Otherwise it's a no go :-)
