A good win to keep them in 4th spot, doesn't look like promotion this season but they will build for next season and be stronger I hope.

The Chengdu Blades get a 1-0 home win in Round 23 of the China League on Saturday.

The one-goal victory keeps the Blades remain in fourth spot of the league.

Without a win since the 2-0 victory over Shanxi Aosen Luhu in round 19, the Blades were looking for the good result at home this weekend.

The match started in a very nice weather, a lot of fans went to the match to support their team.

Chengdu Blades started the match brightly, 4 minutes after kicked off that Blades created the first chance, strike Sand shoot the directly in the QingDao’s penalty area, unfortunately the ball was over the bar.

But this was the only beginning for the Blades; they controlled the match very well.

In 21st minutes,Cun Wang held the very good position and passed the ball to Wei Zhou, Wei Zhou opened the account for the Blades; 1-0 Blades led to finish the first half.

In the second half Qingdao HaiXin added more pressure on the Blades, they tried to take something from the host, but the Blades didn’t give them any chance.

The homeside kept 1-0 until the end of match and won all three points for this tough match.

It is kind of neat watching this from Winnipeg, as Winnipeg is twinned with the city of Chengdu. On the other hand, I can't go to their games either. Such is life.

Email united and see if they want to buy a team in Winnipeg then we can have teams all over the place :D would be awesome could have preseason Blades tourniments.

Does anyone actually care about them or what??

I couldn't care less if they win or lose.

Obviously I'd like them to do well cos it might mean that we can pinch all the good players.

I think it's more of a bemused interest... especially considering some of their players are ones that United's coaching staff have been responsible for bringing to the club.

I'd love to have a trip out there at some point but it's far too expensive.
