I sat at home following the thread on s24su, sounded like a good performance, pity about letting in a goal, but can't complain with 3-1. Yet after the game, what do we get? One or two come on complaining. Context guys, context. A few months back we were looking contenders for the drop, and even though we are still the wrong side of the halfway point, results like today were unthinkable then, so chins up, stop moaning, and remember that adage about a glass half full UTB!!!

The daft concession of a free kick at the end, and the woeful defending from it, were minor niggles in an otherwise superb performance. The second and third goals came from wonderful football.

I think we need to not congratulate ourselves too much when we win and not berate ourselves too much if we lose. much like the song by baz lurman :o)

You'll have to watch out Tarquin, Jokes normally whoosh over this one's head without him realising.

Trouble is, you've never told a joke worth smiling at, let alone laughing at.

As you so succinctly put it in one of your first mails on here, you hate everyone, so not at all surprised by your weary and laboured stab at advising others.

I wondered how long it would take you to bring your 'genius' to this site from Blades Mad, happy new year fella and UTB!

What is there to be cheerful about?

We've been promoted once in the last twenty years and this season is another dead duck with us having absolutely nothing to play for.

All we have to look forward to is having some form of success dangled in our faces again next season only to get royally fucked over at the last minute as per usual.

Call me pessimistic but it's just what I've come to expect.

But you're not funny dear.....now, be a good lad, go and irritate someone else.

You seem to think that I'm worth taking a pop at. Not a good idea.....what's the problem, special needs?

One of the good things about this forum is that it rarely gets 'personal' .Strong differences of opinion followed by usually constructive and often heated discussion is the norm. (especially when discussing scapegoats,Thatcher,Slashers and Clappers :-) )

Referring to a poster as 'special needs' is childish in the extreme and insulting to those with relatives with special needs. My advice would be -if you don't like a poster, ignore them. They will soon give up. All you have done is turn a thread into a petty squabble between you and EssexBladeMan.

Point taken bartman, and apologies for that comment, it was ill-considered of me.

Just to give you a little background, EBM seems to have a thing for me, he was the same on Blades Mad. If you note, he chose to begin this on here. I've done my best to avoid him as he is neither constructive or seeks to engage in anything close to a considered conversation. I joined recently and it's only been his lingering appetite for this that has caused me to respond.

Good advice, thanks

In which case may I bring to your attention the Ignore feature.

Simply click on the poster you want to ignore, ten click ignore.

You then won't see any of his posts, or indeed threads started by him...

Much appreciated SellyOakBlade. Don't know whether it's sexual or Babycham with him but I'll take your advice as I find this a bit wearing.
