Ok, the Lino made a huge error flagging out equaliser for offside. Very bad decision.
This forum has gone into meltdown tonight calling him a cheating cunt a million times.
But what about the swan dive that got us the free kick in the first place? If that had been a Boro player there'd be all hell breaking loose on here about cheating players. Let's not be such hypocrites that we think it's ok for our Bladey Blades to chuck themselves on the floor and look at the ref but when it's someone else they are cheating cunts.
Worst of all was the sky commentary saying "he's been very clever there". Why can't they just say it? "He's fucking dived. Cheated."

So all of you mugging off the lino have a little look a bit closer to home first. Are we all happy with that kind of shit? Is that what you encourage your kid to do on a Sunday morning?

No. Didn't think so.

And no, I'm not pork. I just can't stand diving, simulating, cheating whatever you want to call it.

Diving, clear cut diving anyway is usually in the absence of any contact

And is leaving a leg in to provoke contact and then the dramatic dive any better? The only person I've seen mention the dive on any post so far is @harrysgame

He tripped over the boro players trailing leg, soft foul but certainly not a dive. I can't Stand people who don't know the difference

He played for the free kick. Not a dive as such, but left his leg in so he'd be caught. Difficult one for a ref as it's a foul but one the defender could do nothing about.

And yes, it is cheating, beacuse he had no intention or ability to go after that ball.

Agreed. The incidents are separate and the second should never make up for the first.
All I'm saying is before we all go mugging off the official for his obvious mistake let's look closer to home at was was not at all a mistake but a deliberate choice to deceive.

Honestly, I didn't give it a second thought at the time. Looked like any run of the mill contact in the final third. Nothing overt or particularly malicious in it. JOC played the ball past the defender, and then played to the rules. Just like 99.9% of players do.

I havent seen it but i hate diving. If it was a dive then im dissapointed as we shouldnt resort to that. Still sounds like we were robbed with the offside goal.

It was a soft free kick, probably a manufactured founl. However, if he hadn't have gone down then he would have been body checked anyway. But as e officials didn't particularly want to give us anyone, he make the right decision to ensure that we definitely got the free kick we deserved. Then the Lino make a (maybe deliberate) howler and sky looked after scudamores boys club.
