I thought Nicholas was pretty much spot on with his report etc. except when he gave his opinion that we would not keep it up. Well as far as I am concerned I am much more relaxed when the pundits write us off. What could be a bigger motivation for the Club, the players and the fans. I am more worried that now some are saying we are good and next season everyone will tip us to do really well and we'll bomb like Huddersfield, though I don't for a moment think that will happen as long as we have CWAK and they are given sufficient monies to invest by the Prince. In fact if they don't get what they want they will be off anyway I suspect.

Saw that on the Score Centre app, thought it was a bit derogatory, don't think we were even particularly intense yesterday, first half was just passing it around calmly, bit of work in the second half but that was a calm afternoon for us really. We could play that game 3 times a week with the same players.

Contrast it to the Wolves game which really took it out of the players.

He's right in that yeah, there'll obviously be days where it doesn't click for us, we've already had some, but I don't doubt our fitness to keep going, we kept it up for 46 games last season.
The last ten minutes Baldock and Lundstram were making sprints down the right flank and getting in behind as if it were the first ten minutes. The fitness levels of those who do the hardest work - the six that play the wide positions - are incredible.

People like Charlie Nicholas forget that we’ve come from the Championship where we were playing more games and fitness levels are required to be so high to play Saturday & Tuesday so frequently.

I accept that in the Prem that despite playing 8 games fewer, the intensity in every game has been very very high. In addition, playing the same back 3, wing backs and centre mid for almost every game will take its toll.

We’ve started to see Besic getting introduced, Luke Freeman getting some more minutes and now Osborn coming in. So as suspensions come up, we’ll be able to rest a few

I think when we were in the Championship, not only did we not burn out, we actually got stronger the longer the season went on.

This bunch, indeed all pundits never, or let’s say cannot factor in the Jan transfer window. IMO, there’s no reason why we can’t maintain our form up until the season ends, especially if we strengthen in Jan and providing the board manage to back the Manager with one or two quality signings that will fit into the first team

He was asked if we could keep it up ( 5th in the league ) and he categorically stated no ,that we'd burn out
For what its worth I agree with him in a way ,we won't finish top six and anyone who thinks we will is really undermining the players achievements so far this season .he also finished off by telling people to go and watch us play as he loves watching our games
People just need to calm down a bit ,treat the highs and the lows the same and enjoy the ride

Who are they going to replace? CW said last night ‘we’re looking to cover off a couple of positions we’re light in’ so I’d guess it will be players similar to Osborn, Besic, Freeman, who’ll be introduced gradually. Probably to cover Bash, Baldock and Lunny. I’d love another forward but it’s unrealistic.

I feel we some times go overboard with some of the comments from pundits etc it's what they are paid for and as long as they don't go overboard with derogatory comments I am ok with it.

I suppose fans up and down the country feel the same because they are sometimes saying something negative about their club and of course we don't like it, but sometimes it's the truth and anyway it's "their" opinion the same way that we have opinions about other clubs and how they play, where they will finish etc it's part and parcel of football and I actually like watching /listening to it, just my opinion mind!

Probably not replace anyone as things stand today, but need to be good enough to should we suffer injuries/suspensions later.

In order to continue our form, cover players need to be of similar quality, similar attributes or better imo.

I dont find his.comments bad. He admitted ignorance saying that we werent a side he was looking forward to watching, but now he enjoys watching us.

It's an easy assumption to make saying we will burn out. We dont rotate, so it's an easy claim to make. Our intensity wasnt required yesterday due to how the opponents lined up.

Away from home it's their.

Definitely similar attributes. I think they’ll be players with the potential to be better, who we’ll develop.

I do not get why pundits are asked to predict games. It's boring (and in Charlie's case, mostly wrong).

Bollocks to the pundits, I'm happier taking complements off Newcastle and Villa fans after the match who have paid their hard earned cash out and can only say 'well done, you play great football'.

He also said he sliced it with his right foot, which he didn't. He side footed it past Heaton.

Defensively BB we’re not too bad with cover other than Baldock ( think he’s on 4 yellows plus injury cover) as Freeman nowhere near prem standard , someone with pace up front to back up Moose add competition up there ( would like Grabban from Forest ) and right hand box to box midfielder or a Duffy-esque type midfielder to give options when we need a change for me

Champagne Charlie lavishes us with praise and calls us “the second best team in the league”...

... and then predicts we lose 2-1 to a Villa side he says are crap and thinks will go down 🤦‍♂️

I think someone pointed out that if all Charlie and Lawros predictions had been correct we would not yet have 18 points.

Quite simply, he's a bell end with a limited knowledge of the game.
I'm just looking forward to how far our basic style can get us.

His prediction is what he hopes happens, him and his so called experts don't want us anywhere near the top six. In other words he's a tosspot😊
