Yes, they do. It's inherent in fandom to go all tribal and take any perceived insult. no matter how slight, as an attack on the club itself.

The interweb really shows them up when you listen to NTT20, BladesPode, Ben Bloom etc who all show a far more in depth knowledge of football in this country.

I think Wolves do have a technical superiority, to be honest. They're above us in the league (albeit only just) and at home. I don't think it's an almighty slight to us in predicting a narrow Wolves win.

I take no notice of what the so called “experts ?” Are saying either, my favorite is listening to Sutton squirm about Norwich

Nicholas was the one who covered our game.

He was bigging us up (2nd half). But said we put 2 good crosses in first half and laughed that it was JOC who put them in, then started praising the CBs overlapping and our style of play. Said of the 3 teams to have come up not only are we the highest, we're also fantastic to watch.

They then said - Can they maintain this form?

Everyone said we’d burn out in the Championship but it never happened.
Also a significant factor is there’s less games played this year so its not as gruelling or as high tempo as the Champiomship.
46 games are played in the CC compared to only 38 games played in the PL.

Another common comment is eventually our tactics will be found out and we’ll struggle second half.
Again this was always said in the Championship. To a degree our tactics were found out....if a team parks the bus then we tend to struggle.
Hence the signings of Hanson and Madine to solve that situation.
However in the PL it’s highly unlikely that teams will put all 10 men in defence when playing a newly promoted team
Steve Bruce has no shame......he stunk the place out playing anti football but those negative tactics earned his team 3 precious points.

On Soccer Saturday yesterday all four of their genius pundits predicted us to win. Le Tissier, Morrison, Merson and Nicholas.

And yet, we still won.

Saw that on the Score Centre app, thought it was a bit derogatory, don't think we were even particularly intense yesterday, first half was just passing it around calmly, bit of work in the second half but that was a calm afternoon for us really. We could play that game 3 times a week with the same players.

Contrast it to the Wolves game which really took it out of the players.

He's right in that yeah, there'll obviously be days where it doesn't click for us, we've already had some, but I don't doubt our fitness to keep going, we kept it up for 46 games last season.
