We all moaned when we were in the PL how we were only fishing in the championship pond and needed to broaden our horizons.

Stevens, Baldock, Fleck and arguably Henderson were all signed from League 1 clubs when we were in the Championship.

Garner played no role in Man Utd’s season so that’s irrelevant. I’d like to see us sign someone like Matt Grimes or Josh Laurent

2 good players but neither would be cheap and most probably out of Utd's reach unless both Ramsdale and Berge go.

For how much would you assume you secure them?
I personally think any expectations about perms are fanciful and we’ve clearly been looking to loans due to the lower risk and the fact we have the parachute payments to cover wages/fees.
It’s all quite logical and understandable really.

Fleck was signed when we were in League 1 not Championship.

Why are some getting snobby about where we're apparently looking for players?

I'm happy to fish in any pond. We used to only fish in the British ponds, that was the problem. Exploiting the lower leagues to our benefit is a must. Lots of talent down there.

A certain team in the Premier League signed a striker when they were in the Champioship from a League One team.

55 premier league goals later and a couple of England caps. He turned out alright.

Some decent players come from League One.

Brentford signed Ollie Watkins from Exeter and we signed Che Adams from a non-league club .
