Would they sell him, on the knowledge they could only replace via the somewhat sparse free transfer pool?

I mean, there’s a couple of centre halves that are passable but it’s becoming an ever decreasing pool.

I imagine there owner will be a nightmare to deal with, even if Hughes agitates for a move.

£5m + add ons would be a good fee for them, with the trouble their in they need the cash.

I don’t know the details but aren’t they under an embargo/have to run all signings by the EFL?

There’s a couple of ‘ull fans at work, their description of their owner varies from ‘unpredictable’ to ‘bonkers’.

So if we got 7m for Anel it wouldn't be unreasonable for them to want at least that for their CB who is on a long term contract. Additionally it wouldn't be unreasonable for our fan base to expect our new owners to spend that 7m on Hughes if Selles wants him.....would it?

If they won't or cant reinvest that money on a long term CB we will be getting an early indication on the financial wherewithal of our new owners given we only 'own' one CB with any championship experience.

They sold Jacob Greaves for 15 mill rising to 18 mill. I fail to see how they’d willingly take less for Hughes. Which is clearly out of our range
