It is evident that there is a change in style and/or tactics. We used to be a possession based team, not caring how long an attack would take, and having the patience to wait for the best opportunity for a killer ball or cross. This season, although for obvious reasons we aren't getting as many opportunities to attack, when we do we seem to be in much more of a hurry, and far more direct. Not saying this is right or wrong, but my question is, is it purely down to the quality of opposition, the players we now have (or don't have in the case of Duffy), or is it entirely down to instructions given by Wilder?
I don't know the answer, but for what it's worth, I would like to see a bit more controlled possession come back into our game. I'm all for raking diagonal balls from Norwood etc, when the time is right, but currently it seems to be our main weapon.
Thoughts?
