The optimist in me sees that we could be in the top six IF we win tomorrow. The pessimist worries that Lincoln and Bolton - two teams that I think will go down - both won! At least Preston and Derby both look pretty hopeless at.the moment.

Egan, Slater, Crooks, McBurnie down the spine

Wilder will be wondering 'how the fuck isn't that my team...'

The problem with Wilder is that he has the right mindset in getting honest lads in, a strong spine. But sometimes you need a petulant maverick, a Cantona or a more contemporary example like Taarabt. Feel like Hull have nicely blended them.

As well as sacking Selles they managed to recruit another unknown coach who has performed (so far) miracles. The owner seems like a box of frogs but boy, despite an embargo last season seems to know how to run a club.

Lincoln aren't being lucky. They're competitive in every match and they create chances. I think they'll stay up comfortably

Hull's manager is exactly the type I'd like here. He's done a great job in the kind of way that could be realistically replicated here
