First proper post, be gentle folks!

Was driving into work this morning listening to Talk Sport (until they started droning on about Man U and their whining fans). In the sports update they said "And Championship Leaders Sheffield United play QPR tonight".

Oh that gave me goosebumps and sounds SO good.

Lets keep riding this crest of the wave!

I remember over on Bladesmad how, when new posters arrived, Paddys used to don the rubber gloves and give them a thorough inspection...

I remember starting with such verve and enthusiasm...

I remember being so tentative and scared and once I had done the first post I was like "Oh you write, they pull you to bits and the cycle goes on.." I do enjoy it on here and great to get to chat about allsorts of shit that spin around in the old brain matter, long may it continue :)

Being a twat, I'd suggest you shouldn't just be able to point to us being top of the table and pick up some likes, for your first post.

New posters ought to have to work harder. So in the same way that a new player at SUFC might have to sing a song, new posters ought to made to read, digest and recite the entire posted works of Pinchy .

That'll learn 'em.

I work from home and have Talksport on virtually all day.

Agree it sounded good.
Talksport seem to mention Chris Wilder several times a day, always bigging him up. Cascarino and Gray are massive fans.
I get the impression that the media will build up our club and Wilder as the “new Brian Clough” if we gain promotion to the PL.
Our popularity and Wilders street cred could go through the roof. We could even become a lot of people’s second favourite club, unbelievable ha ha.

Really suspect this is just the beginning of the journey and things are liable to get better and better.

WTF is going on, where are the forum police ffs? This should be on intro pages where we softly let new blood. Standards slipping, limp first posts lacking giraffes, stats and or controversy. Gerrim band, sanctioned, I smell pork...... That's how to greet newbies Pierre's PC

Welcome A31, just joshin ;)

It can be quite intimidating as a new poster - most of you are on thousands of posts so I thought I'd play it safe! :-)

The feel good factor is amazing, has been since last season, just fantastic to be able to feel this way

This site is generally more upbeat than some I think. There was one linked to the SUFC website I think some years ago which became quite negative before it closed down, can't remember what it was called now though.

I'm still googling what GLTTL means!

Yeah, heard that this morning. It's been a long time since I've heard 'championship leaders Sheffield United' and it sounded good but what I want to hear is 'Sheffield United, who secured promotion to the PL with four games to spare...'
