Can we just concentrate on getting to the Championship before worrying about staying in it?

Shhhh. don't mention the Championship. I mentioned it once but I think I got away with it.

Seriously we'd be daft not to discuss and plan for both the eventualities that the season could bring. Promotion or the status quo. No one's taking promotion as a given, but if/when it happens we need to have a plan in place. Promotion would have a bearing on players' contracts, size of away support, TV coverage etc.

BTW when we are in relegation trouble I don't recall hearing any calls not to mention that outcome.

It's a good job Tufty doesn't have Bladey Lockjaw. Together with his coaching staff, he's been preparing for the Chanpionship for quite a while now. Here's Alan Knill briefing him on his latest scouting mission...

Billy might find it tougher going in the Championship. If we go up I wouldn't expect him to start every game. We may need at least one new striker.

Much of a new team, in fact.

We might be reaming a few arses in this division with this squad, but I certainly don't see it faring well against some of the stronger sides in the Championship.

Looking forward to our promotion and our as-promised investment package. Ten million might get us five or six decent, Championship players to assist with maintaining the Championship status with further additions in the 2018 JTW and beyond to challenge for the playoffs in subsequent seasons.

Three cheers for McCabe! Hip-hip ...

(you can see what will actually happen, can't you?)

I'm reading about additional players and my thoughts are, "let's get another decent keeper signed up", let us not forget that our current bench contains calamity George!!!
We definitely need another keeper as backup now Ramsdale has moved on!!

I've watched many a championship game this season, and I reckon our current squad would compete rather well.
There's been a lack of quality in the championship this season, and probably the best teams I've seen have been huddersfield and Fulham, both play good attacking football simular to our own.
There's nowt to fear in that league.

Game changing investment and play offs
