Not an ideal situation, but no doubt it couldn't be avoided.
I assume not, given that it's happened 2 years running!
We must have known Bartley was going before yesterday, so why was Collins not signed earlier. Doesn't matter who the manager or chief exec is, we still make the same mistakes
According to Sky both are set to make their debuts tonight

I'll go with
Simonsen
Parrino, Collins, Lowry, Mattock
Ward, Doyle, Williamson, Yeates
Evans, Bent
Subs:
Long, Quinn, Montgomery, Ertl, Lowton, Kozluk, Bogdanovic
Not a bad line up that.

Lazy reporting from Sky. The Club's own new release says Collins was signed too late to be included tonight. That's what this thread is all about.
Got to agree that this is a major cock up from the club like last year.
I'll go with:
Simmo
Kozluk - Parrino - Lowry - Mattock
Monty
Cresswell - Williamson - Quinn
Evans - Bent
Lowton played there pre-season but too much of a risk to put Lowton and Lowry together, particularly up against the Yak.
Jim, Jim. Stop it. Lowton is 5-10, of slight to medium build [in football terms], inexperienced and not particularly strong in the air. He is not, and never will be, a centre-back.
Really? Seriously? You're quite literally playing all your jokers at once!
I despair.

>Monty - Solid as ever v Norwich
translates to Monty .. crap as ever against Norwich!.. why do some of youratethis guy? do you feel sorry for him or something?
Pinchy, whilst I understand that you have reservations about certain players, I'm only going on what I have seen of these lads this season.
So einstein, the alternative is what?
For info, here are my thoughts
Kozzy - Didn't let us down v Donny, even without his dramatic late goal
Monty - Solid as ever v Norwich, gave some extra (necessary) cover of the centre halves. we'll need this tonight
Quinn - Played his best game for a long time v Norwich, let himself down, by rising to the bait
Cresswell - Not in form, If we had an alternative I wouldn't go with him, but the other options were Ward (off the pace), Yeates (scared), Cresswell is the only one out of those three who can do the grunt work, can cross a ball, offers height and will chip in up front if needed.
Surprised that you haven't highlighted Evans as well, but then again, it seems a few of those who wrote him off completely, have gone back into their holes on Ched.
Perhaps you could offer your words of wisdom...
I just said he played there pre-season that's all
Mind you, I got stick 6 or 7 years ago for suggesting Jags was an England centre-back in the making![]()

Swiss,
Cresswell is over the hill. The others - I've made myself pretty clear many times. I'll just summarise - they are absolute garbage - they would not make a footballer between them. Don't just take my word for it - look at our league position. Look at their goal/assists statistics (try not to laugh). Do you really think we are struggling despite their 'performances' rather than because of them. The team you suggest would struggle in League One. I bet Adams can't wait to dismantle it.
As for my wisdom, the best XI currently available to us is that named by Kopped above. Collins is not available though so it's Ertl at centre-back.
As for Ched, I see something in him. He's doing well just now. You must be thinking of AlcoBlade?
