FFS the man is responsible for SUFC, he appointed the ghost that is apparently a chief executive, and here we have the lead item of news being about a clutch of clubs, two of which were never owned by SUFC and a third that is no longer owned by SUFC, instead of clear communication about what the ferk is going on at the Lane.

I'd suggest that most things that are put on the website aren't run past the Chairman or Chief Exec of the football club.

I think it's more likely that communication comes under the Operational management of the club, so it's Simon Argall's area of responsibility.

I've no problem with people being pissed off about it (personally, I just don't read them) but at least try and blame the right people.

This is not a one-off. We have been fed this mis-direction for too long a time now for it to be anything other than policy.

They can say that they have started their process and are already talking to candidates. Are we waiting on Speed to make his mind up now? Someone needs to put their head above water and tell us they are at least doing something.

But your issue was that today they put a match report on about CCM instead of talking about Speed (which they have put a statement on about, however brief). My point was that McCabe and Birch probably have better things to do today than rubberstamp press releases to go on the website. So yeah, the bloke in the comms department was responsible for that specific press release being put on the website on this specific day.

You're now making it a general rant about club communication with fans in general which is Birch's responsibility. I agree that communication in general should be improved and Birch and McCabe have been told as much numerous times.

Perhaps you'd like to tell them again on Saturday at the AGM?

Who's to say Speed is definitely leaving ? As I've said elsewhere, cast your minds back 5 years when Warnock had talks with Pompey. Even if it is done and dusted and they are doing something behind the scenes, the club aren't going to come out and say we're looking at candidates when there's not an official vacancy yet.

The OS is like this site. Not everything is to your taste so you don't read it.

I raised it as a symptom of how the club treats its fans with contempt.
Believe it or not, I also do not care what the fuck has happened with Central Coast Mariners, Ferencvaros or Chengdu.
I want to know what is happening at our club, why the manager doesn't want to be here anymore, how they plan to get us out of the shit - in short, some bleedin' leadership of the kind that has been lacking for a long, long time now.
