Central Coast Mariners tho...

Who's to say Speed is definitely leaving ? As I've said elsewhere, cast your minds back 5 years when Warnock had talks with Pompey.

This is another thing I was thinking about, once he's gone to 'talk' about another job - do you think there's a way back for him? I'm not sure how I'd feel being 2nd choice to Wales!

Club goes down shitter, manager jumps ship to a dead end job on less money, club issues more information on the performances of three clubs that have nothing to do with SUFC and whose relationships with SUFC have contributed to the club going down the shitter and you don't think that's insulting?

But he hasn't yet left us for less money. Even if he does leave us, will it actually be confirmed it was less money?

They've put a report on, saying he is in talks with the Welsh FA.
Are you saying he has already signed a contract for Wales?

I don't see the insult in reporting on teams that are/have linked towards us.

Robbie, they have links with Kevin McCabe - not our club.

Lenners - your stupidity is legendary but I think you have managed to plumb new depths with this one.

You'd say it was more a case of the fans wanting news when there is none? I've run out of gadzooksisms for that.
I raised it as a symptom of how the club treats its fans with contempt.
Believe it or not, I also do not care what the fuck has happened with Central Coast Mariners, Ferencvaros or Chengdu.
I want to know what is happening at our club, why the manager doesn't want to be here anymore, how they plan to get us out of the shit - in short, some bleedin' leadership of the kind that has been lacking for a long, long time now.

They have several functions, but an AGM would be perfect for getting this kind of thing off your chest len.

FFS the man (McCabe) is responsible for SUFC, he appointed the ghost that is apparently a chief executive, and here we have the lead item of news being about a clutch of clubs, two of which were never owned by SUFC and a third that is no longer owned by SUFC, instead of clear communication about what the ferk is going on at the Lane.
Contempt doesn't begin to describe it.

Given that McCabe is resigning as Chairman in a few days time, should he be deeply involved in the selection of a new manager at all? Surely Chris should now be "Steering" the ship along with Birch?

This has to be the funniest threads going, Linz - can you put me down for a vote for Lenners in the end of year awards!

So the Club wants to make a thing about our foreign "partners" on the OS, who gives a damn, really? Come on
Argyle or whoever, probably has the responsibility to sign this off, being a sensible chap he'll have responsibility whereby no damage can be done by this our foreign partners update getting uploaded. He may or may not actually have a final editorial say on this anyway, its so down the list of priorities.
The the Speed thing comes up, we obviously can't say much, but need to say something, else the fans/ media will be getting twitchy, the fans will have their shoes off for not communicating again!
Statement goes on
Lenners pipes up and whinges at McCabe again for not putting the Speed story on sooner.

Oh well I guess its just his McCabe whinge of the day. How delightful.

So what, if anything have the club done wrong at this time? My blind spot is preventing me from seeing an issue, just a very angry man getting irate at McCabe for putting info on about our partner clubs and a brief statement, only containing FACTS about Speed.
- Speed given permission to talk to Wales
- Carver takes training today

To be honest, i'm more pissed off that there wasn't a statement from Speed saying that the players were in for training 8am on Sunday after the lacklustre shite they dished out on Saturday at the Dingle Arena. Actually, sod it, why didn't Birch or McCabe demand that every single one of those players was back in first thing on Sunday.

Oh and for those interested, McCabe witnessed the performance at Barnsley.

Internet press releases, we're really scraping the barrel here aren't we! How low we have stooped.

Swiss,
Dontcha think you've dug yer sen into enough holes recently?
How's yer planning for the end of January thread going?
I did warn thi' that you were missing the bigger issues son - a bit like your latest comment.

Dug myself enough holes? Not really.
Planning for Jan thread? Despite your off topic points, there seemed to be a few people genuinely interested in putting across points of view of what we should do. I'll be returning to that thread when the Speed situation has been resolved. Seems pointless to continue whilst things are up in the air.
What are the bigger issues Lenners? What did you warn me about? Global press updates? Club Debts? The apr on the loan with Santander? I couldn't really give a flying fook about those things RIGHT NOW Lenners.
Bigger issue for me is why we went out with such a cautious approach on Saturday against a Barnsley side who, as their own fans admitted, were well below par.

Whats the bigger issue for you Lenners? McCabes choice of suit for the AGM? The AGM being on Sat and not on a Friday?
What are you going to ask McCabe at the AGM Lenners?

All I'm concerned about right now is if the manager (whoever that maybe) can get the team playing and getting results.

From what I saw on Sat, the early ideas and plans of Speed/ Carver have gone out of the window, remember how he was trying to get us playing better football on the deck and not bypassing the midfield. At times when we did knock it about we threatened, but we didn't do it enough and were too cautious going forward. Ertl should never play for us again and yes he was part of the summer signings. Does me saying that change my opinion of the summer? No, because I thought overall the signing was a good choice and thought Ertl could've done more. But he's actually proper shite.

I guess you didn't see it though Lenners, you'll have been watching the OS ready to pounce on McCabe for a typo.

Gadzooks Swiss, stop digging son.
You admit you don't care about the bigger picture and see the bigger issue as being the cautious approach against Barnsley?
Thou art away with the fairies.

No Lenners, I see the bigger picture as Football, the business side really isn't my bag at the moment.
