Very surprising. Why would Spurs do this? There's no indication he'll be coming back here either.

We should be OK as long as Leonard can play there but we shouldn't loan Heneghan out now. If we do then we should look to bring in another CB on loan.

CCV is down the pecking order. Spurs would probably want him getting game time. That's not happening so no surprise here.
Thanks for your efforts Cam. As was already mentioned head and shoulders above some of the shit we've loaned in the past with regards to effort and attitude.

I personally don't think this was the worst decision in the world. The lad has potential and is an athlete but hasn't been as convincing as I would have liked. I think we need proven, consistent performers given what we're trying to achieve this season and I don't think he's quite there yet. Ever since the Fulham game, he's looked like he's had an error or two in him, at risk of coming out and I haven't been convinced with him, I can think of a handful of goals he's cost us.

I expect we'll go with who we've got, Lenny's versatility adds depth in midfield and at RCB. Unless Wilder has a pleasant surprise lined up...

Was excellent by and large, superb performances at Bolton, Hillsborough and Burton, his marauding run and cross for Clarkes first v Hull all good memories for me.
Seemed to lose confidence after his clanger v Fulham, and went backwards after that.

Because CCV was mainly used in the RCB slot, which realistically requires a right footed player. (As there is the offensive responsibility of supporting the RWB)

Wilder has almost exclusively played a right footed RCB and a left footed LCB

So our poor form over the last 10 games is down to Stearman replacing Wright ? The small matter of Paul Coutts broken leg over the same 10 games probably has a little bit more to do with it than that but if thats the way you want to interpret our recent form, go for it .

As for me choosing a player I've never seen over a defender who's never let us down , I'm not , Chris Wilder is . You'll have to deal with that too I'm afraid .

I thinks it’s a good decision for both parties. Balance the books at United, get him off the budget! We’ve got Wright, Henighan and possibly Leonard to cover the area. Don’t think he’d of got much football second part of season!

But we payed a pretty fee for stearman and leonard so they should be miles better than wright. Sure I have heard of a team trying to buy talent and facing the consequences...

he played well until he went away with the US in the international break. when he cam back it was if his mind was elsewhere. he was responsible for at least 2 goals against fulham and he's been patchy since. his cameo against bolton must have been the last straw. he certainly hasn't been recalled by spurs to play them. he'll get put back out on loan at a london championship club.

What little I've seen of Leonard tells me that he's a much much better player than Jake Wright . Don't get me wrong here , I have just as much respect for Wright and what he's done for us when asked, but to prefer to see him at RCB over either Basham or Leonard is pure unadulterated madness .

He just never seemed to recover from the two mistakes in a minute against Fulham. Such a shame as he was in great form before that, getting assists in both the Hull and Burton games.

All the best to CCV, he's got a good career ahead of him and my guess is that Spurs thought he may be getting less football with Stearman back and in form. I don't see the need for another centre back as we have Stears, Basham, O'Connell, Heneghan and Wright and Leonard can presumably do a job at right centre back as he played as a centre back for Southend at the beginning as others have said. If Heneghan goes on loan though we might need to re-think.
