I'd like to offer a non-ironic "good luck to the lad".

He lacked a bit of experience at times, but that's to be expected for someone of his age and he served us well. I hope he turns out to do well for Spurs in the long-run.

Wasn't in the squad on Friday, massive hint.

Was a good player for us a lot of time, and good luck to him in the future. A bit more confidence while facing his own goal and he'll be great.

Hmm, bit surpised with this one.

I know he’s not been starting recently with stearman coming back into form but surprised spurs haven’t kept him here. Would have only taken a suspension or injury for him to be back in the side and 17 games isn’t bad at that age imo.

Cant honestly say he should be starting ahead of the current 3 but he certainly did a job for us. Had some good games and some errors which you expect at that age

As others have said Leonard to potentially fill in there? If I was wilder I’d be tempted to get another loan signing TIL the end of the season if possible. Wright, stearman, o’connell basham. Isn’t loads of cover for 3 positions

He did a great job for us good luck CCV, very disappointed with this, this now leaves us short at the back, maybe another loan is coming in.

Has he been recalled? I interpret it as surplus to our requirements and personally, I don't feel in the slightest that he will be a loss with this strength and deep of the squad.

Thanks all the same CCV.

We have options.

Presuming first choice is JoC, Stearman and bash.

Stearman gets injured - wright comes in. Basham gets injured - Wright comes in with Stearman shuffling over or Leonard drops back.

JoC is the concern on the left, lafferty at a push?

Think the signings of Leonard AND Evans now make more sense.

It doesn't leave us short as we've already signed a much better replacement in Ryan Leonard .

Good luck Cam, thanks for your time here .

Mauricio Pochettino has just checked the 3 digit number on the back of his Debit card.

Personally think this is a good thing. Hopefully we can bring in someone better or maybe Wilder thinks we have enough with Leonard being able to play there

He was signed at a time Stearman was out and Basham was still needed to switch elsewhere if the situation arises. This is as much as anything else a reflection of the change in situation. Stearman is fit, and doing well. Wright is ready to slot straight in if needed. Basham is unlikely to be moved from RCB again this season. The need for CCV has therefore reduced.

Could offer up a chance for Heneghan too (he hasn’t gone to Rotherham yet has he?).

Off the payroll which MAY (!?!?!) allow us to keep Fleck Brooks & Duffy( according to certain f/wits on the Holmes thread
Uncle Kev needs to recoup his brass asap

Yeah - that’s a good point. Both will want to play and will have been offered assurances that they will get chances if they do well enough.

Evans battles it out with lundstram and fleck and leaonard with fleck and cover in defence and rwb if required

Did surprise me when Leonard referenced his time in defence in his interview after signing as I assumed he saw himself as a midfielder Now.

But we are at least not leaving ourselves any shorter if he can play their.

Wouldn’t say no to a specialist arriving on loan if ones available.

Edit - had forgot heneghan too. Has he moved on loan yet? Be tempted to keep him or ensure there is a recall clause in any loan deal now

Best of luck to him, seemed a really nice kid.

Found it tough at times, & maybe the errors had piled up just a bit too much for us in the position we're in, but there's a quality player in there who'll surely blossom in the coming years.

The pruning begins! Interesting to see what the next moves'll be.
