Just been reading about CCVs dad who was a pro basketball player playing for the French national team

Hes been inconsistent and in some respects id prefer it if we had our own player. Not sure about Egan and with Brum doing poorly I'd try for Harlee Dean.

Well he's got no chance of playing for Spurs so maybe Poch has got the hump because he' s been dropped and doesnt fancy him sitting on the bench too much in the second half of the season.

Glad that’s just you and not the club

(Played for both Brentford and Brum this season)

Pochettino specifically asked about it in his press conference today, following news that Alderweireld is out injured: https://t.co/7J3VeWIsxc

Are you thinking about calling back Cameron Carter-Vickers from loan?

Yes, it’s a decision we need to talk about in the next few days. But I think if all is going well with Toby… I think at the beginning of February he will be ready again to play, and I think… It’s true that today with Davinson suspended, maybe the squad looks a little bit like we need someone. But I think we have different players that can play there, and I think I am happy with the squad. We’ll see.

The decision with Cameron is more about his development than if we need or don’t need some more centre-backs in the squad. The decision will be together with John [McDermott - academy head], Dean Rastrick [academy manager] and Steve [Hitchen - chief scout] and of course the club, and trying to provide the player the solution, but not because maybe we need to cover the position or not.

Translation - "play him or i'll recall him"

You can read into it what you want to. It could also mean that 'we won't call him back if we don't think he's ready for the first team'.

He's had plenty of games, far more than he'd have got at Spurs. If they want him back, fine, take him back.

If they take him. back he won't get a game
no where near ready for premiership.
I will be amazed if they call him back.
He's come here for experience ( no guarantee he will get a game with us ) dipping back there to play under 23 football is not the way. They could of course loan him to another club who would maybe guarantee him a first team place,
Wilder won't do that for any loan player and I agree

Yes, I agree and you could interpret what Poch is saying as just that. As I say, you can read into what you want to read into it, because it wasn't clear.

He'd be better off with us, fighting for a place at a club where he actually stands a good chance of playing than going back to Spurs. If another club is prepared to guarantee him first team football, they can have him and deal with it when he loses form.

CCV returned to Spurs.... must mean we will be back in for another CB in this window. Suggestions?

I liked CCV but he just had that calamity in him that could cost us dearly. Hopefully he will eradicate that from his game and he'll go on to be a top player.

Or perhaps he’s going to play Leonard there , not saying he definitely is but it’s a possibility!

Unless there's a big departure there can' be much left in the kitty so it' another loan or nobody.

Harley Dean at Brum is still my choice and with them in the bottom three he.must be gettable ?
