A similar situation here this season. Family have won a couple of Cat B tickets so I thought Watford must be a cat B …turns out it isn’t. If Watford isn’t Cat B what is? Looks like free cat B tickets are a rarity, they wouldn’t even let me pay the difference …I doubt it will be a full house.
It’s exactly the same policy as last season.
The club basically choose 50% of the more attractive matches and make them cat A…..the other 50% are cat B.
However they take into account that Saturday matches are more attractive than night matches.
Also they look at spacing of cat A and cat B games.
This season every match to date has been unattractive…..so they have been cat B.
They need to space out some of the cat A’s….so people have a choice….the Watford game is after an international break…so they’ve made it cat A.
Last season we had Hull and Stoke as cat A’s too.
At least the match day prices haven’t increased this season.
Some people complain about prices, we charge some of the highest in the league
But we also have one of the highest player budgets in the league too.
So if the club are showing ambition by keeping the best players and offering big salaries…then the fans generally need to show ambition too and support it.
Agree there needs to be the odd, well advertised, “fill the stadium” game with much cheaper tickets.
