anyone heard Carsleys words of wisdom, apparently this is the plan and we don't want to peak too soon.

Also we are apparently playing high tempo, pressing football and creating chances.

What planet are they on? This guy is a moron!

Carsley OUT, Weir OUT!!

"we dont wanna peak too soon"

well thats good then. i was getting worried we might be doing.
:tumbleweed:

DW and LC are tactical geniuses, lulling the rest of the league into a false sense of security. Then bam! We'll win every game at least 5-0 with our high tempo goal scoring ability!

High tempo!!! he must have his eyes shut during the game then watch the highlights back in fast forward, it's the only explanation.

Lets hope we don't peak tonight, he may not have to worry about it then.
ps. what a prick

Utter joker. Can you imagine the players hear him saying that? The amount of respect they must have for him...

The only good bit about this video, was when a google ad for hair transplants popped up.

I liked this part:

"They all feel like they are getting up a head of steam, they fell like they are coming into a bit of form"

You know 6 defeats and a draw, bit of form.

Considering the amount of football both Weir and Carsley have played the both spout absolute bollocks!

But saying that 'Footballers are usually not blessed with the best of brains' and these two are certainly excellent examples of the stereotype !

Having spoken to Carsley in person, he speaks incredibly well and comes across as very intelligent.

I've not watched this video as of yet, so could be well off the mark, but I'd imagine it's exactly what you'd normally expect... Cliches and trying to maintain a fluffy and positive message publicly.

I'm confident that he's a little different off camera.

He's hardly going to make a video for the official site ranting and raving about how shite we are is he?

I think you ought to watch it. It's a disgrace. He may be very intelligent but he hid it extremely well and comes across as thick as shit. He's certainly gone down in my opinion after what he said. Someone needs to remind him we are Sheffield United - not some bloody pub side.

Have to say I found it full of the usual dull platitudes but that's all.

He said the performances have been good at times. And the high tempo gubbins is what they're trying to get to.

Really can't get worked up over it. That happens enough watching the games, never mind the media spots. :)

He also said in an interview that I heard on Radio Sheffield this morning that he and Weir should be judged at the end of the season

OK I'm game for a laugh - let them have until the end of the season
I've written yet another one off anyway so, Fuck it.

Let's see what they do and how long it takes them to match the crowds at Sixfields.
That's:
Without the home supporters having to travel 34 miles each way
Without the 10 point deduction from the beginning of the season
Without the financial constraints with which Steven Pressley has had to contend with

'Cos I don't believe they can alter the sequence of results IF they persist with the same tactics.

Caveat:
UNLESS the Prince buys a team full of current premiership players and they perform as they should.
I know he can't do that because of FFP rules - so I'm safe there.

Imagine Cloughie, the proper one, talking like that. Or any strong manager, assistant or coach for that matter. I suspect it's this attitude why we're so crap. You need to instill passion, belief, the desire to win. Our management team are all "well it's all a long term plan. bound to take time. don't worry about us losing every game, we'll start winning em all eventually".

When would be like us to peak? Christmas? Easter? Next fucking June?

Tortoise and the hair innit. Whilst all these fancy teams like (cough) Orient, Wolves and Peterbruh think they're all clever winning games and being at the top of the league, we're pacing ourselves. Losing games deliberately, conserving our energy so we can surge past them all like Usain Bolt. Genius. Amazing nobody else has ever tried it.

Of course, to the layman, it just looks like we're losing cos we're crap.
