You’ve nailed it for me. I missed Villa and S’land games, ( in France ) and heard and read great things about Lundstrom, but not impressed today, great for the occasional Hollywood pass, but seems to have limited impact on the game. Sharpe, not sure what’s happening there but Donaldson did more in five minutes after coming on and had more of an impact than Sharpe in the whole game. Fleck, unlucky with the booking although from the very back of the kop long way from the action, so may be wrong. Stevens and Baldock relatively anonymous.

Stearman, can’t make my mind up between him and Wright , the latter may not be the better player but overall his presence and engagement within the team and it’s collective performance when he’s in it seems better.

This change in fortune seems to relate directly to Coutts injury and probably other teams getting wise to us.

Not sure that Wilders got much of a dilemna now as to what to do with Sharpe after recent performances. Surely even Billy must realise that,

Gutted after today, a right dampener on the holidays.

The abuse and booing of Madine, inevitable and predictable, didn’t do us any favours either, more like inspired the tw*t to play better.

Poor away following in terms of numbers but made some noise and got behind their team.

Can’t believe we’re still 6th
 



Almost felt sorry for Carruthers today. Sadly woeful. And to add some controversy, Billy was too, which gives me no pleasure whatsoever. Like watching an E-Type running on 3 cylinders :(
 
Carruthers has done nothing at all this season (and actually looking at his short blades career very little to right home about in total ) , as said above we need a 2nd Duffy as another option when Duffy 1 is tired /having an off
 
That moment when he got the ball in space and ran with it, chest out like he owned the place, and as soon as one of their players looked like tackling him he fell over. Embarrassing. He's so lightweight on the ball he makes Brooks look like Neil Shipperley.

I think this is too harsh, I agree carruthers needs to go, he just runs the ball at them with no plan and looses it, and CCV needs a replacement since he makes far too many mistakes. However to say Sharp has been shit is too far, he's not been on his game the last month or 2, but he has and will be for some time, one of our more influential players but I do think Donaldson deserves his spot in our starting squad for now until sharp can pick his game up. As for lundstram there is no dispute that he is no couttsy but I think he has stepped up at least a bit and as wilder said his stats are not that far off couttsy's and is a good backup to have for when we get Paul back.

Amazing how he gets a shirt week after week when he has no where near lived upto his billing....Regan Slater showed more in 20 mins at Preston than he has in 4 months to date....Carl Robinson pick up the phone!!

Agree with all that apart from the Lundstram thing.

I think he's come on a lot and will turn out to be a fine player.
 
Yeah, this season Samir hasnt really taken his chances when they have come his way. This maybe explains why he hasnt previously nailed it as a Championship player. In his defence, he played a great ball to create the final chance for Clarke. Other than that though, he looked like a clown.

Probably needs a run of games to find some consistency. But he isnt doing enough to earn a start, and get a run of games.

I'd give him away right now. Everyone can have pop shots all they like about Sharp, Stearman, Stevens or whoever. They put a shift in. This guy is a coward and I was hoping Wilder would just take him off the park and finish with 10. we might have had a better chance. It was clear after a minute he wasn't up for it

No way is Brooks a replacement for Duffy. The former is a fast young kid with flashes of brilliance which see him running beyond defences. The latter has a really experienced football brain , who can be expected to hold up the ball and take a second or two to choose the correct pass and if not crunched by the opposition can control the offensive side of our game. Quite different (at this stage).
