Just back home from Royal Berkshire after quite a Saturday with mi pal....

- Few pints of Doom Bar and tasty Nacho's in O'Neils and some friendly banter with some knowledgeable Royals...
- Taxi to the madjeski...
- Going delirious when our second goyl went in and not having to 'sweat it out' for the last ten...
- Laughing our socks off at the 'scarf kid' who was going to have all 1100 of us in the car park (he's probably busy doing his physics home work as i type...!)
- Bus back into town and quick change....
- Some nice Bavarian beer by the riverside....
- Semi-topped off by a nice steak and vino near the Oracle...
- Finally topped off by my favourite quote of the day from a Royals fan in the restaurant...'I just wish we had Billy Sharp...!'

...If Carlsberg did Blades Away Days !

Ironic that you didn't drink any Carlsberg but you acknowledge that it is a measure of high quality.

We parked at the Hilton Hotel. FREE parking. Had a Guinness and a club sandwich. Came to same price as the stadium parking of £10 so felt like a free lunch.
15 minute walk to the shed of a stadium.

Happy with the new tactic of containment in the 1st half. They were never going to score. Hit them 2nd half. Job done.

Not like a normal Blades away day. Easy Simple. No stress.

Finished that for you bud;):D

The Carlsberg ads were genius. It’s possibly the wankest lager in the world apart from the supermarket own brands, yet it’s synonymous with being good.

I haven't drank it for years, its been left behind since all the premium European lagers came over to the UK. Carlsberg and Carling were always the best deals at supermarkets around Salford when i was at Uni. Unless of course, the bloke at the corner shop had done his Calais run... then it was 1664 and Stella

Carlsberg and Carling = cooking lager

I wouldn’t clean my boots with either... the beer world is so full of decent stuff now in both ale and lager that there is no need to ever drink this stuff. Next season when we are playing Spurs then anyone in doubt should come along to Beavertown or Pressure Drop (in between tottenham Hale tube and the ground) and try something there. The Tempus Project beers brewed by Logan Plant are world class for the beer fan whilst the regular Neckoil and Gamma Ray will wow the Carling drinkers. Just got to get promoted now!!

In fact Carleberg Elephant beer is quite lush from memory, although too much makes your head feel like an elephant next morning.

Carlsberg Export is a nice drop
Normal Carlsberg is handy if you're driving (and it fits in the cup holder)
Carling is literally fizzy piss.
