Evening everyone, Carlisle fan here

I've written an article ahead of Saturday's game which may be of interest to you. It includes some thoughts on our chances and the difficulties that we'll no doubt face. The second half is a Q+A with one of your fans. He's spoken very well about your chances this season, your key players and the loss of Ched Evans, amongst other things. Please have a read and let me know what you think. It'd be greatly appreciated.

I hope you all have a safe journey up on Saturday and enjoy your easy win. We've been atrocious this season and certainly won't pose any of the problems that we did earlier in the year.

Best of luck for the rest of the season, and if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!

Cheers

Jake

We're no longer ahead of our points total at the same stage as last season, we're now 2 points behind.

Article and Q&A are good assessments of where the clubs are at the moment but anything could happen on Saturday. We are stuttering at the moment although people coming back from injury should help us return to (better) form.

Cumbrians to win 2-0

both sides have lost key players from last season but i think this match is where the blades get their season back on track and i expect to win 2-1 or 3-1, with another brace from Miller. UTB

We better bleedin win or a certain ex pro from Carlisle will be giving me a hard time next week.

No not Ludlam, a guy from Carlisle who claims to have played alongside Mick Hill in his Ipswich Town days.

ok, so no goals for miller but happy with my prediction:)

Just back. At 2-0 up, there only looked like one team would win. Completely outplayed Carlisle in the first half. It was obvious they'd have a go at the start of the second, but we seemed to sit back and once they'd scored they had a real go. Luckily, we scored a jammy third to kill off the game. I feared for us when McDonald went off, but I thought McAllister did ok when he came on. Goerge Long had a good game, apart from one scrappy punch, but he made several good saves. Our fans were surprisingly quiet, apart from letting off a banger after the first goal and a flare in the second half! The players need our support when we are under the cosh, but at 2-1 the fans fell silent. Great weekend Pigs and Scum lose and we win. Other results went for us too.

I went to Brentford the other week and was really disappointed with the fans. Don't get me wrong, the players were rubbish and deserved nowt, but it was like I was surrounded by cardbord cut outs. Such a change from the atmosphere in the boozers beforehand.

I think there's a bit of a football hangover going on, ever since our Relegation from the premier league. Hopefully, when its fully sunk in that we're destined to be shite, the fans will feel like they should get behind the team again.
