I have a fear that Cardiff will implement the same tactics that WBA did in early season, that is out muscle us and bombard the penalty area with launched throwins (Vaulkes) onto the heads of Moore and Flint etc,if not throwins then freekicks.

Would anyone care to allay my fear.

Who cares, we don't have Salad Fingers in goal and gone to a back 5.

Dont think Cardiff pose much of a threat at all tbh and we'll win this one quite comfortably.

Would like to see Guedioura and Lopata on the bench (at minimum) for this reason. Score 2, and then get em on to secure the win

I would be happy with the same outcome.

I saw them play at Coventry earlier in the season. Other than long throws and set pieces they offered nothing. Mick McCarthy was in charge and while they were a big side they didn't have much of a work rate or interest. Not sure the new manager is getting much of a tune from them. So unless their motivation suddenly peaks we should pick up the 3 points without having to be at our best.

Sorry,no. Got to agree with you. Goalkeeping department a concern, Wes not the biggest, Olsen not great at coming for high balls. Defenders very light weight and midfield will get steam rolled and will rely on giving cheap easy free kicks away like most games .
Just hope the new management team have a plan for this type of game.

I thought this was going to be about swapping a couple of players?
We give them a thoroughbred and we get a cart horse in return, albeit one that is called Billy Whizz.

Best we play our new "total football" and go in at h/t 4-0 up then

Lopata will have to give Guedioura a piggy-back cos he's ancient and his legs have well-gone.
He was only signed coz an old mate of Slav's

were a better footballing side its just a matter of putting all these chances we create away then it wont matter how physical cardiff will be might not be sunday but i can feel another peterbro game on the horizon where everything goes in

Show the squad the video of the match at the Hawthorns

I heard on a podcast today they've scored 70% of their goals this season from headers. The next highest in the championship is 40%!

get him signed and in our back line, he would negate Cardiff's aerial threat.....

Or the last 15 minutes of the Reading game. For 75 minutes very comfortable, on comes Andy Carroll and Reading looked a different team and United looked uncomfortable.

I hope to goodness that Hecky is all over this particular weakness we have - Davies is NOT the answer + needs sending back in January + replacing with a physically dominant CB in the mould of JoC
