So the draw for round 2 is tonight and we are ball number 6. Who would we like to draw? are we interested in the cup? Do we care at all?
Also dose anyone else find the format slightly odd, 13 prem teams plus Cardiff and Fulham added this round with the rest of the prem added next round. Why Cardiff and Fulham but not Huddersfield for example.

They do this because
a) They ultimately need to get it down to an 'inifinite series' - i.e. keeps being divisible by 2 to get to a final of 2, e.g. R32 --> R16 --> QF(8) --> SF (4) --> F(2).
b) There are 92 teams that take part so they can't start with all teams because that's not divisible by 2 all the way down to the final.
c) They don't want teams taking part in Europe to start in the early rounds
d) They don't want Prem teams in the first round

So in order to get down to a 'last 32' they take 70 teams in the first round giving 35 winners. This excludes the premier league teams plus the two teams who finished in 18th and 19th in the premier league the previous season - hence why Huddersfield are in the first round as they finished 20th. These are then joined by another 15 teams in the second round to give 50 teams, 25 winners. These are then joined by 7 more teams in the third round (the top 7 from the previous season? - Most likely to be in European action) to give the round of 32 which is then divisible by 2 all the way to the final.

All makes sense?

There's Rochdale Vs Bolton too, derby wise, and Luton Vs Ipswich is about as close as Ipswich get to a derby outside of East Anglia.

Really though, they should put the highest quality match on which would probably be QPR Vs Bristol City.

Picking a game because of the owners is fecking daft. They'll probably not even be in the game if Leeds put out a halfway decent team.

They should structure it like my old Subbuteo cup competitions I played as a kid. Basically throw all the names from the Subbuteo scoreboard into a bag and pull them all out for the first round. "Dad Dad! Luton have got New Zealand away! "

I wouldn't mind a home tie. As someone who works most Saturdays my opportunities to get to games are limited at best. As good as non-existent this season with the loyalty points thing. Be nice to be able to get to one or two home cup games this season at least.
