It would be nice if a couple of hundred souls turned up in the car park to welcome Weir tomorrow, in contrast to the protest against Danny Wilson's appointment.

As one of those who was in the car park for the Wilson protest, I'd certainly be happy to spare my lunch hour to welcome the Mourinho haired one to the club. Anymore for anymore...?

Yes, provided I am back from a morning engagement in the East Midlands. What time and what is the dresscode - shoes on - hats off?
Has anyone got a spare banner they no longer need? brownie?

I think this is a Weirly good idea and I commend it to anyone who could make it. Anyone know what time the media thing is? Foxy?

I've made a start. Smart casual, shoes on, hats optional.

Having already announced him, I think the "presser" will be a little more low key than usual.

Depending on how they are playing it, it might just be appointments with the individual outlets rather than a specific conference.

Not sure of a time yet, usually around dinner time and confirmed a couple of hours before.

Well I'm sure we'll have someone there who will report back to us?
:)

If it's worth going and I'm available, we'll be there as always. We are one half down though, as the good lady is currently sunning herself in Ibiza :)

You are a brave man Foxy, 'the good lady', you can tell you are demon happy. All hell to pay when she reads that. :-)

Separate holidays already! I said it would never last!
:)

I never understand how people can be so bored they resurrect threads that are years old. Just create a bloody new one. Its not even General Blades chat.

This OP just proves how little football fans know about actual football stuff.

Wilson was booed on arrival and ended up being one of the best managers we had this millennium.
Weir lost 10 games on the bounce

E ad a wenzdeh tat tho pal - Wilson ‘art

It just goes to show how reactionary some of us are as fans mattbianco1, I’ve been there and done it, and I suspect 90% of the fan base has. 51.8% win ratio is the best as Sheffield United manager, the only manager that beats Wilson’s record is George Cecil Coldwell In his first stint 1 game 1 win.

And so to be reactionary Slav will be another Wilson, playing open football, scoring goals and sometimes being on the end of a spanking or high scoring game. We must remember that 2 months ago we didn’t have clue how we were going to score that is no longer an issue. Patience is required.

Isn't it amazing how every ex-Wednesday player who turns up at United, and vice versa, has a tattoo of their old team?
Yeah, keep seeing it pop up on twitter when Gregory scores for "them".

He just comes from a blades supporting family that's all

Aye exactly, he was one of the ones I was thinking of.

Bromby, Geary and Wilson all definitely had Wednesday tats, too...

Cec Coldwell lost both games in his first stint as caretaker manager in October 1975. Lost at Hull in the League Cup and lost at home to Stoke.

Danny Bergara was the one that won both games when he was the caretaker manager in January 1988.

Think Gregory did legit have a blades tattoo on his calf I seem to remember it causing him quite a few issues when he was playing for Millwall.
